So I have an Acer Aspire 6920 laptop. It's been having some heating issues, so I went out to get a can of compressed air and some thermal paste. As it turns out, it's impossible for me to apply the thermal paste where I want to because of the horrid design of the laptop.

So I cleared the vents and put it back together and turned it on. Now my keyboard doesn't work. At first I thought I fried it, but upon closer inspection it has become disconnected. There are 3 connectors and wire bands. Two look like they come from the keyboard, and 1 from my top right "Empowering Technology" button. All are disconnected from their connector. Even worse, the main keyboard connector 'hatch' or 'door' has broken off.

Now here's the main thing. Because of the horrible design of the laptop, I cant reach in to reconnect them. I can reach them, but I can get them far enough down to reconnect (they come from the top half, and connect to the bottom). Further, I can't further separate the top and bottom halves due to some sort of adhesive or something keeping the two halves of the board together. Either that or its a screw hidden from view. It's holding it together in the top left area, below the power button.

So I have 3 disconnected wires, at least 2 which are essential. I can't further seperate the boards in an attempt to make it easier, due to design flaws. I can't make more than one wire reach its connector, and or even a single one at that. Even with tweezers. Also due to design flaws.

So what do I do?

I've probably fried the keyboard or more with all my fumbling, but I can't even test to see.

A vent cleaning turned into an even worse scenario. Any tips on how to reconnect these things?
