Major bug in Apple's Snow Leopard deletes all user data

One for the WinDoze boys LOL

According to ITWire, complaints on the Apple Support forums have been cropping up the last few days due to a major bug in OS X Snow Leopard that can reportedly lead to all user settings being reset and most data wiped out from the hard drive.

I thought MacOS had a versioning filesystem?
If this happens, can you not just roll back to the day before?

No idea. I don't have a mac. My girlfriend does but sounds like you need to save to external source to not lose any data.

Still, wouldn't put me off converting. My PC is pissing me right off, crashing and generally being so slow

if your revering to time machine then yes, it autobacks up the computer every fifteen minutes I think. The file system itself isn't versioned, it's journaled but that's very different it can only replay writes and such and is mostly used to keep servers in a consistant state in case of failure.
