      Video to .gif

      Hey, it's me again.

      I want to convert a short video clip to a .gif file, without having to do it the hard slow way like I did with this image:

      (Bastard deserved to be punched)

      That took 2 hours of copying and pasting.

      Links to virus-free and free software is appreciated.

      Filters > Split video into frames
      select video
      select number of frames

      also, make sure you use the optimise thingy for animated gifs, otherwise the file size will be huge

      Don't use GIMP for this. Use VirtualDub instead.
