Does it happen when you plug any other peripherals into your USB port? It sounds like it could be one of two things. The power supply may not be big enough to handle the extra juice. Or, you may need to have your computer reinstall the USB drivers. Try deleting all of your USB drivers from device manager and shut down the computer wait a few minutes and restart and allow window to do it's thing in reinstalling them and then see if the same problem occurs. Maybe the chipset drivers can use an update also in Bios. Exactly how old is your laptop? |
