      USB problems...

So I have had this problem with my laptop for a few weeks now. When I plug my ipod cord into my usb my computer just loses all power like I took the battery out or something. Sometimes it doesn't happen until I actually connect my ipod and very rarely the same thing happens when I connect my usb mouse.

I have tried both usb slots and using either one shuts off my computer, has this happened to anyone before? Does anyone have any suggestions/solutions?

      Thankyou.

Does it happen when you plug any other peripherals into your USB port? It sounds like it could be one of two things. The power supply may not be big enough to handle the extra juice. Or, you may need to have your computer reinstall the USB drivers. Try deleting all of your USB drivers from device manager and shut down the computer wait a few minutes and restart and allow window to do it's thing in reinstalling them and then see if the same problem occurs. Maybe the chipset drivers can use an update also in Bios. Exactly how old is your laptop?

I got my laptop at the start of this year. http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=pr...35&cat2_no=271 It's the GX620. I got the device manager up but I'm not quite sure what to do, do I just delete all the things listed there? There is about 10 things on the list.
