First you need to figure out what your router's IP is. Here's a little step-by-step guide:
1) Windows Key+R
2) Write CMD in the window that appears and hit enter
3) Now CMD should be up. Write ipconfig and hit enter
4) A bunch of IPs and other information will show up and depending on how many different network connections you have (wireless, ethernet (wired), bluetooth) you should look for the IPs that belong to the connection that you use to connect to your router. It's probably ethernet. Now look for the "Default Gateway". It is probably something like 192.168.15.1 or 192.168.1.1.
5) Open a browser window, write the default gateway IP into your adress bar and hit enter.
6) You should now have the Linksys web interface. There's probably a password, but you've probably never worked with it before, so it's mostlikely just the default setting, which is
user: admin password: admin.
If your Linksys router is anything like mine, the DNS settings should be at the first page you see once you're inside your router. If not, you should look for something that looks like this:
If I'm not mistaken, you just have to set the radio-buttons like I have. Basically, disable DNS proxy and set all the DNS1-3 to 0.0.0.0
edit: you might also have a menu at the top, like I have, called
DDNS. Otherwise it might be somewhere else in your router. Anyway, find this menu, and if it's like mine, there should be just a dropdown menu. Set it to "Disable".
