      no sound after reformat

      i reformated my computer now i have no sound can anyone help

      I just encountered this two days ago. Right click on My Computer (assuming you have Windows?) and click on Manage. Select the Device Manager and you should be seeing a large yellow question mark somewhere on that list. I had two, one for soundcard and the other for video. Select one of the question marks and allow Windows to search online for the driver. May take awhile, be patient.

      If it doesn't find any drivers, just note what kind of soundcard you have and search for drivers on the net.
      You might also want to get the latest drivers for you video card directly from their site, if you use your computer for games.
