Thread: Physically Straining to WILD

For a little over a year Ive been trying to LD, through unfaithfully doing dream journals or RCs. Recently I watched Inception, which has reinspired me! haha

The last time I made a serious effort to wild, it ended with a somewhat unsettling result. I kind of did a WBTB, and I was very determined to WILD, and I believe I got to sleep paralysis. I began imagining a dream world (not sure if it was exactly HI or anything, just kind of equal to a daydream feeling).

I was stuck on a beach paralyzed. The strangest thing was the feeling that I was half in, half out. On one hand I knew I was laying in my bed, but I felt present in the "dream". DCs came over, and were trying to pull me to shore, which made me extremely nauseous in reality. It was somewhat terrifying, because it felt I was half in, half out. The dream equivalent of the panic you feel if you got your head stuck in a chair or something haha.

This was exciting, but left a bad taste in my mouth (almost literally from nausea) about WILDING. I had never heard any experiences like this when I was on the forums, so I wasnt sure if it was a legitimate attempt at WILDing. Any similar stories? Is it possible that I was almost there?
