      An Idea

I had this idea for a couple days and I wanted to see if anyone could actually do this.
First, let's take the concept of time. What is time? Time is an illusion, merely the duration of the beginning and ending of an event. It's what keeps us on track, what keeps us in synchronization. So, what I want to talk about is how we perceive time. How we perceive time is actually irrelevant to what time really is. I mean this in the sense that (and I'm sure almost everyone has experienced this) when you're with your friends or having fun or just excitement even, time seems to go by quicker, right? And it seems to slow down when you feel bored or sad even and in some cases 'never seems to end'. The time it took for one event to occur (the beginning and ending of it) could either pass quickly, or creep by slowly. You can say it all depends on what event took place and what emotion was being expressed. Well, what if it was possible to apply this to a lucid dream. Usually dreams don't last very long while we're in them, but if we can perceive it longer than it actually is, then time has no relevance to the dreamworld and the same even for reality. But too much positive emotion in the dreamworld can lead to, you guessed it, waking up. So how do you do this in the dreamworld without a positive emotion? This is the key to obtaining more time in the dreamworld. One method I thought about was pretty simple. First, you enter the dream (whatever technique works best for you is recommended). The next thing you do is stabilize the dream. After the dream is stable enough, this is where the time illusion comes in. As soon as you're in the dream, you can use any object (I suggest a watch or clock) and keep it with you at all times. After you have this object, you have to MAKE it have a schedule to follow (this is why a watch is preferred) BUT, you make it follow a schedule that never ends or forever starts itself, like a record on replay. The easiest schedule I would suggest is to have a normal watch, and instead of numbers and three hands, make it have one hand and on each side of it force it to read 'Beginning' or 'Beg'. That way, however many times the hand rotates, it will always 'start over'. Why a watch? Well the most common object to use to keep track of time is a watch, right? So your mind should be trained to read a watch and simultaniously come up with the estimated time just from reading the numbers, but if you make it read something that has no end, your mind would perceive it to keep starting over (if this works). Thus, you have a dream that 'never seems to end' and more dreamtime. This is simply an idea and has absolutely no guarantee that it will work, but it's just something to think about. What do you think?
