So I tried WILD for the first time (fail)

I went to sleep at 10 pm and woke up at 8am because of my cat.. I've never been a fan of WILDing but now I like it (I was scared of sleep paralysis)

So I lay down on my back without moving.. controlling my breath counting 1-2,1-2,1-2 in my head. After a while I think I entered in SP (i'm not totally sure). My hearth started beating faster and faster. I could see shadows moving when I had my eyes closed.. It was harder to move. I tried to imagine myself opening my "dream" eyes. I felt like it was gonna work, well i was close. I finally gave up and opened my eyes lol it was all blurry (no I wasn't in a dream I did a reality check!) I moved my arms and legs it felt really strange! And went to type this on DW

Do you think I was in SP? and What could I improve to make it work? Do you think 8am was too late?

      thanks for answering

Well firstly, your heart starts beating heavy and slow, like you feel like someone is doing chest compresions on you. And BTBWILDING is what you may have done, back to bed wake initiated lucid dream, when you wake up during REM stage, if you move you mess it up and need a 1h relaxation period. And if you didn't move you could automatically and quickly transition into SP Then enter a LD. I feel shaking throughout my body. Hope this helps!

You could have been in SP! Everyone experiences different things in SP. Some common things people experience are a heavy feeling, colors swirling, whispers, etc.
I think you would have more success if you attempted to WILD 5-7 hours after sleeping instead of 10 hours. You were probably too awake to WILD. Anyway, just keep it up and good luck!
