Post Got to SP (I think), Now what?

So I posted a thread the other day about how I couldn't get to sleep paralysis after months of trying. Well, last night I think I finally got it. I counted down from 100 (I would count after I exhaled) and by the time I reached 0, my arms and legs felt pretty immobilized. It took about another 5-10 minutes after that before my neck felt paralyzed.

I'm pretty sure that was sleep paralysis as my body would get waves of numbness and feeling really heavy for a few seconds. I would feel that every few minutes. However, I didn't have any hallucinations. At one point, I saw a few pretty colors that transformed into a bunch of random shapes that eventually formed a beach bar, but that was only for about a minute.

I tried to WILD, but I had no success as it was at night before I had been asleep. After attempting to WILD for 10 minutes or so, I decided to give up and just go to sleep. It was really weird, though, because no matter how much I tried to just let my mind wander and go to sleep, I always ended up coming back to my body (not to sleep).

I'm not sure if what I had was Sleep Paralysis or why I couldn't go to sleep normally (not trying to WILD). Can anyone offer some advice?

BTW I'm a little confused because I didn't feel any vibrations...

Not everyone feels vibrations. Also, you were probably analyzing your body too much, asking yourself if every sensation you felt was SP or not. When I reach SP, a lot of times I barely notice because I'm up in my head, counting down, reciting a mantra, or building my dreamspace. I suggest reading Mancon's tutorial on How to WILD
We were always dreaming of how it was going to be.

naahh man, unfortunately I doubt it was SP. The only reason I say this is because I had the same post a couple weeks ago saying how I thought I reached SP but then it REALLY happened.. There is no questioning really, it's just one of those things that is soo distinct that once it happens it's like a "holy shit!" moment lol and you just know. I had actually awoken from a dream already in SP. It felt like air was pressurizing out my ears at the same time with a very disturbing ringing, along with my body having so many vibrations it felt like I was imploding, I also hallucinated my jaw spazzing out.. and then BAM! a rush like taking off at a thousand miles per hour and I was back in the dream I had come out of don't get discouraged tho. it takes time.

Thanks. I guess I'll give it another try in a few days... I'm stuck with a sore throat for now. It makes even regular sleeping a challenge

Were you trying to WILD when you first went to bed at night? That's not gonna work.. it needs to be during a WBTB after 3 or 4.5 or 6 hours of sleep. You can't expect to go into SP unless you're going directly into REM, which happens every 90 minutes.

I tried it when I first went to bed, but I also woke myself up and tried it at 5 in the morning.
