      New to Forum!

Hi everyone, I decided to post my welcome thread here because the welcome section seems to be for nOObs.

      Quick background:

I started reading books and practicing lucid dreaming about a decade ago. Now-a-days I rarely will remember having an actual non lucid dream, although my dream recall isn't so sharp since i stopped keeping a dream journal and really getting into it. I'll recall a vivid lucid dream every few nights or so and a non-lucid dream maybe once a month.

      WILD:

Anyway, the reason I wanted to post here is because I was just reading about this technique last night, tried it out and...

...yup, worked perfectly on my first try ha ha.

The only piece of literature I've read thoroughly on this topic (cover to cover) is Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge and Howard Rheingold. I would recommend the book, although there's likely better out now with more current research.

WILD is discussed in chapter 4 but I don't remember ever being able to pull it off several years ago when I was really into LD. I guess I've always just "let go" and fallen into subconsciousness without even realizing it.

From just browsing the forums here it sounds like perhaps it's more of an advanced technique that perhaps can only work when obtaining/maintaining lucidity comes almost by instinct.

Anyway...Hi everyone, or i should say:

      Goodnight, sweet lucid dreams!

Hey, welcome to dreamviews and congrats on WILD!
I wont say that WILD is 100% advanced method, just that it's simpler to do when one had some lucid dreams already, and also because effectiveness of various methods and techniques can vary alot from person to person.
