      Bed time Wild

      Hello everybody,

I wanted to ask if there is a chance of obtaining lucidty with WILDing during the normal time that you goto bed?

I know most of you use the WBTD and WILD all together but i never realy tryed that so far,

So far ive never realy obtained it with WILD, i always get hallucinations after aprox 5-10 mins, most of the time flashs/faces,
Hands/feet becoming buzzy, and i had once that i actualy saw 3D images/2 sec movies and went back to black. and so for 2-3 times,

I did get Lucidty before, when being back from school, 12PM and just closed my eyes and 2 sec later i was at the same place with a false awakening only had it for 5 min or so,
The other time in my bed, the same thing (false awakening), checked my clock and it didnt seem to work, i just followed my dream as my phone started to go off etc etc, was a pretty long dream.

Those were kinda without ive realy wanted a WILD,

But so i wanted to ask if its possible to get a WILD when going to bed, or are the chances so low it isnt even worth trying?
Might try to do a WBTD + WILD in the weekend tho, people seem to have great experiences with that.

      Thanks for the help everybody

I'll start by linking you to a technical resource that explains the typical progression of a WILD:

WILD Progression Outline - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views

Using the chart, take note of how long the first few phases of sleep are and--comparatively--how short the first instance of REM will be.

Then, briefly consider the fact that the very nature of N3 sleep (Stage 3 + Stage 4 in the older notation) makes conscious anchoring nigh impossible for the average bloke...

After reflecting on that, hopefully you'll understand why trying to WILD right as you're going to bed is an incredibly difficult, inefficient way to go about things. Especially when you've got hours of chainable REM at your disposable later in the night.
