Oh, does mastering just mean learning the basics to you? That would explain a lot! By that definition every noob who's read a little is now a master, so what do we call those people who are actually really really GOOD at it?
What you're describing isn't WILD, it's just the steps. The actual WILD is something that takes place in your mind and requires a very particular balance of attributes, like confidence, self awareness, knowing the feeling of a dream from experience, etc etc. This is a very delicate balance of things that you only learn gradually over a long period of trying (and failing a lot) and some people get really good at it after a while. Has someone mastered a video game when they've learned which buttons do what and how to do combos and find power ups? Of course not, that's just basic competence - the rest is up to you, playing a lot and figuring out the tricks and the strategies, slowly learning how to overcome each opponent or situation.
You're not a master until you can beat the game!
