My experience is, if I wake up from a dream and still feel SP, the only chance is to immediately DEILD, which should take about 10 seconds at most. Any longer than that and I've missed the window of time to extend that REM cycle. Trying to maintain the SP feeling longer than that will just be uncomfortable. So if I can't DEILD, then it's best to just shake off the SP feeling. Being awake and moving for a bit, even just rolling over, will prepare you for the next sleep cycle. Wait a bit until you feel the strong pull of sleepiness. Only then start a new, separate, WILD attempt. |
