      A problem when preforming WILD

So i have had this problem for a while where i am just about to enter a dream, but suddenly i hear a large bang and loose my progress, even though im not even startled by it. Sometimes i will see a few images or get a few sensations afterwards, but mostly all my progress is just lost. I donīt move a muscle and try to reenter the dream, but itīs like itīs completely impossible for some reason. Iīve done realitychecks afterwards, so i know for a fact that it isnīt some kind of false awakening. Have any of you had this kind of problem? Have any of you been able to get past this kind of problem?

Not a whole lot you can do, unfortunately. It isn't well understood and studies have been very limited.

My suggestion would be to restructure how you think about it. Instead of thinking of the sound as a "problem" contextualize it instead as a trigger that will push you deeper into sleep. This will turn the noise into an asset for you.

Thanks for the tip, that sounds like a pretty good idea.
