      how do i switch? (SP)

ok so the other night i induced sleep paralysis by accident and i remembered that i wanted to enter a lucid dream from there but i was never able to transfer over.

i'm sorry if this is a common question but i'm kinda tired to search around right now.

i would just like to be ready for the next time. thanks ppl.

I entered a lucid dream once from SP by fighting the paralysis... I managed to drag my body out of bed (dreaming) and looked back to see myself in bed, I then ran downstairs and jumped thru the front door, once I was outside everything became extremely vivid and detailed like high def TV.

The dream maybe lasted about 2 minutes before It faded into a normal dream and i lost consiousness.

What you did is called OBE and not LDing, although, there are some that believe that OBEs are LDs, but, that's beside the point To the OP, I would try to stick with SP and then eventually you should see a dream forming and you'll jump in it. I've never been able to do this yet, but, I'm hoping that I'll be able to enter a dream through SP someday

Im pretty sure an OBE is a lucid dream of seeing yourself sleep, which is why their so clear because your lucid. If you do get an OBE, i suggest trying to do something as if it were an LD and see if it is.
Goals: [x] Have a Lucid Dream [ ] Stay in an LD for longer than 20 seconds [ ] Explore Details in a LD [ ] Find my crush [x] You know what [ ] Fly [ ] Punch the teacher that gave me a 40 on a test
      LD Count: 2
Current Task: Be able to have a LD at will, or at least more often.

The reason I believe mine was an LD is because when i got outside it was daylight, and i knew that couldn't have been possible. I also tryed to fly and ended up hovering over my road, I also seen a figure riding a bike towards me... as i hovered down it faded to a normal dream.

I suppose it could have started as a OBE and formed into an LD but personally i think it was LD.

Keep your mind active and tune into the stereogram.

A couple of my LD's (using supplements) started in the same way. After 4.5h of sleep and ingestion of suppls I was lying on the bed for about 1h. Then I realised that I go deeper towards unconsciousness and heard some strange sound (fabric teared apart loudly). I drifted down from my body. Opened (dream) window and flew away from my room
I think it's similar case as Mawds'. Unfortunately my vision and control is still far from perfect.
I would suggest looking at timing. Try to WILD after a couple of hours of sleep. Then the dream (lucid) comes easier as REM periods are longer.
On the other hand as I read OOBE is specific for Theta dream phase so you might be able to enter it at the beginning of the sleep (in theory). In practise though even experienced OOBE experts find it easier after a short sleep.

The way I enter is by creating a vortex by my head or my feet, and breathing slowly 3 times (I'm not too sure how I create the vortex really, it just works). By then, I'm usually in the dream.

Sorry for the late response. Well, I'll be lying there and SP will wash over me. Then, I go through my typical routine for getting into the dream. I create a vortex behind me; by what mechanism, I don't know. It's probably just expecting that one is behind me. It's used to "peel" me away from my body. Anyway, while I'm getting sucked into the vortex, I breathe out 3 times. Usually before I can breathe out all 3 times, I'm in the dream. Maybe I'll look further into it and make a tut sometime or something.
