      Scared to WILD?

Okay, so I've attempted to WILD a few times before and failed, mostly because at the time I wasn't really into it and drifted off into a regular dream pretty soon into it (I've always fallen asleep quickly). But recently I've been reading some things about how people go into SP or have hallucinations and scary things happen... I've sort of worked myself into being terrified of this... though I've heard that these things happen less when you don't lay on your back. Is this true? I'm willing to give it a try anyway, but I'm trying to think of ways to overcome my fear of this. What is your experience with this?
Dreaming permits each and every one of us to be quietly and safely insane every night of our lives.

I was really scared to attempt LDs too because of this, and I may be wrong, but if you've never experienced SP in your live I'm pretty sure you're not likely to have it while WILDing... I'm still a bit scared but I'm pretty sure it won't happen to me.

The way to overcome your fear is to realise there is nothing at all to fear! Sleep paralysis, HI and the likes, may be a bit creepy at times but only if you allow yourself to fear it. It's not like anything bad can ever happen from sleeping/dreaming now, is there? Just realise this and maybe repeat it to yourself a few times before you attempt to WILD. Once you get the hang of it, I'm also pretty sure it is no longer an issue (it's like your first dive from height, once you do that you no longer fear it either).
