WILD alarm - finding the right time

I think I remember reading somewhere that, when waking up for a WILD WBTB attempt, one should be able to remember already having dreams that night (because you should already have finished / be in the middle of a REM cycle). Is this true, or no? If so, I think I may have found the answer to my WILD woes..

Yea, it's true ...you've passed the early stages of REM so I think you should remember a dream or 2. The whole point of WBTB is to catch the deepest and longest REM stage, for a more vivid and lucid experience.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

Okay, so how far do you guys think should I advance my wake-up time? 30 minutes? An hour?
