wilding your body thinks it is ready for sleep when your mind isn't and you have full memory |

Ever since I learned of WILDing a couple of months ago, I was hesitant to jump in because the explanation for it seemed a bit fuzzy, and I wanted to [U]know[U] i was WILDing not just have some self-fulfilling prophecy where I'm really awake all night just trippin on some HI. |

Thus the aesthetically sensitive man stands in the same relation to the reality of dreams as the philosopher does to the reality of existence; he is a close and willing observer, for those images afford him an interpretation of life, and by reflecting on these processes he trains himself for life. - Nietzsche

Most people say that Sleep Paralysis (SP) draws the line between being awake and falling asleep. Some report that they don't actually sink into SP, though. SP is where your body starts to sleep. In normal sleep, you're mind goes to sleep before your body. But in WILDing, your supposed to trick your body into sleeping while your mind stays active. Hope this helps! |

Well, in normal sleep, you just sleep normally, however you do so. In WILDing, you're pretty much completely awake and aware, just focusing and concentrating on staying aware. Like you said, you are supposed to forget sensations. But some do argue whether you should think. Like why I try to WILD, I count for a while, but it makes me tired after a while. Some people have told me that it's a good idea to play stories or music in your head. |

Normal sleep is just that....sleep until you reach a rem stage. What happens during a wild is that when you go to sleep, you immediately start dreaming, and you're fully lucid. |
