Ever since I learned of WILDing a couple of months ago, I was hesitant to jump in because the explanation for it seemed a bit fuzzy, and I wanted to [U]know[U] i was WILDing not just have some self-fulfilling prophecy where I'm really awake all night just trippin on some HI.
So I guess I'm looking for a clearer understanding of WILDs- particularly- Whats the line that has normal unconscious falling asleep on one side, and WILDing on the other side.
About every day of the past two weeks I've attempted it, using the counting breaths on inhalation and saying "I'm dreaming" in my mind on exhalation method pretty exhaustively. I either am awake for hours or pass out somewhere in the 200-250 breath count range.
It just seems paradoxical to me. To be aware and conscious leads to me not being able to lie to myself and knowing im in my body staying awake, while drifting off in my thoughts leads to normal sleep.
So what's the difference in normal sleep and WILDing.
