      WILD into a concert???

I've been trying to WILD for awhile now...experimenting more than anything. I always seem to bump up against the edge where I enter a mini dream, know I'm dreaming and then right back out...repeat process.

The night before last I decided to just load up my MP3 player with good music and let it play through about 8 songs while I fell asleep. In this case was Skillet 'Comatose' mostly with 'Whispers in the dark' and a few others.

As I fell asleep I tried to put myself in the concert and was actually pretty surprised out how vivid it was. I got the whole sweeping cameras and crazy crowd effect with the strobing lights. A few songs in it was the whole vivid mini dreams again.

Somewhere after that I got the crystalized 3D effect...hard to describe...like the nothingness you see when your eyes are closed takes on texture and depth and can even spin and move.

Both nights I tried I ended up waking after turning onto my side...earphones aren't that comfy pushed into your head.

This seems like it might work better for me then some of the lucid induction MP3s. I'm wondering if anyone has had similar experience and, if so, any tips to get the rest of the way?

I usually hate falling asleep to any noise i.e. the radio, tv, fans, talking etc... However, on the occasional night that the radio is on and I happen to drift off to sleep, I get SP a lot easier and I'll hear the real radio along with the "dream" radio (which helps me shift to an LD). However, when I intentially leave the radio on and try to WILD, it never works .

You seem to be really close so keep it up, do you have to use earphones? Try leaving the TV on or the radio w/o earphones and see if that works any better. Good luck

Yeah I use earphones. Haven't tried with wake back to bed yet as I'm too lazy but I know I'll have to.

Another thing I noticed is I tend to tap my foot automatically to music and after a bit my real foot stops moving and just twitches itself to sleep. At one point I suddenly realized I was tapping with a "ghost" foot. I think I may be able to learn to get my dream body going eventually.

I usually keep the music decently loud...just enough so the sound centers in my head. I've always been able to fall asleep to loud music...just have to use headphones or earphones so others don't get annoyed.

I'll keep trying this. Even without the WILD/LD I get some pretty wild and vivid half dreams that really are interesting. I think maybe eventually I'll get my first WILD though.

I know exactly what you mean, I've been having the same problem! I'll be trying to WILD and I'll drift off into one of those mini-dreams, then snap back and try to continue WILDing, and then it repeats. I just read about VILD though and I think that would work better, maybe you should try it too.

I always listen to music with headphones every single night. What usually happens is that I forget that the music is even there and when it eventually does wake me up, I'll just be super tired, I then put my MP3 player away and use my own WILD technique to LD.
