A WILD (Wake Initiated Lucid Dream) is when you transition from the waking state to the dreaming state without losing consciousness. |

I recently began doing research on lucid dreams for college; my awareness was really open because of this. I experienced four lucid dreams in those four weeks I did research. In some of them, I didn't even need to say the re-affirming statements, while in some I did. I didn't even need a dream journal because the research I did was so much that my mind was constantly focused on the topic of lucid dreaming. So, I'm going to recommend coming here a lot, it keeps your awareness open to lucid dreaming. In those weeks I was able to recall 3 dreams a night. I finished my project yesterday and while research is not required of me anymore, I'm happy to say I've subscribed to this craft of lucid dreaming. Well, let me get to the bottom of things. I think I had two WILD's. I fell asleep and when I woke up I was in a dream. I didn't go through the whole process of, "This can't be happening I must be dreaming," instead, I woke up in a completely dark room and was standing up. I freaked out completely and woke myself up. I realized I was in a dream but got scared because it was almost as if I finished my night of sleeping and woke up in darkness and standing up! Can you imagine going to sleep at night and when you think you are waking up you're standing up and in a black room? Well, I panicked; it was so vivid, and that's what freaked me out so much. Was this a WILD dream? In another experience I felt vibrations and heard a loud buzzing sound in my ear and saw the words DREAM SIGN in bold letters in a dark background and I woke up. It was sooo bizarre. It freaked the hell out of me. After that I had two lucid dreams. One of them I used dream control and made my hair longer. Aside from the lucid dreams, in one of my non-lucid dreams I was swimming through a river and the message I heard was that I needed to cross the river in order to do well on my assignment. Overall it's been an amazing experience! I'm wondering if those two times were WILD dreams. Thanks. |
