      Was this a WILD? Where is the plot?

      hi all,

      today I practiced the WILD technique. after a while i seemed to "enter" the dream, i could see my hands, i could follow this green ball, and i kept spinning to keep myself in this dream state once i got past the HI.

      after a while i asked for a guide and got this crystal that i own. we proceeded to have a very long conversation. it showed me different things, took me places, etc, and i just kept asking it questions. answers seemed fresh, not just "me" talking to "me".

      this seemed almost like i was talking to a "channel". i've not had a lucid like this before. it gave answers with pictures or scenes we would fly to, or appear in, always to return to the same starting point.

      i finally decided to wake up after a long time. i wondered, was this a new type of lucid? i'm kind of new to this (somewhere over 10 lucids?)

      (...usually i am cruising a party or am in a house with several stories going to different levels, or doing something with more of a plot... )

      Anytime you consciously enter the dream state from your waking state is considered a WILD. And I'm not sure what you mean by "plot" =S

      Thanks for your reply. I think my question and your answer revealed a lot. i have had many experiences in dreamland. I have had DILDs (with "plots" ie i could come up with an interpretation since there was a story line from the dream). And I have had lucids in WILDs which went places so I could interpret and write about those too. And things that look like OBEs and more.

      This is the first time I have had a lucid where I stayed in one place (or at least kept coming back to the same place) and simply had a fascinating conversation (with my crystal).

      I wasn't sure if I was just talking to myself... ie how "real" my ld was. The more i think about it... the more I need to expand my horizons about what LD's are - not having had that many, I need to look at expanding my database.

      Why not have a long conversation with a crystal? Who's running the show? Chalk this up to being a newbie.
