      This.. Is strange

I tried WILDing last night, and Im pretty sure I woke myself up at a good time, because I was dreaming when my alarm clock went off.

So I hit my alarm clock, and I kept falling asleep. So I got up, stretched a little bit, and I was almost fully awake, but my body was still tired

Then I laid in my bed for a really long time, and I never went into SP, but what DID happen was very weird.

I dont know if this happens to everyone, so just go with it.
I went into a sort of awake-trance-dream, where your having the sort of images of a dream, but your still awake. I did this a few times, and one time when I became aware, I counldn't remember where I was, so I filled in the blanks by myself (My eyes were still closed) and I felt like I was floating. Then I remember I was in my bed, and I felt that again

*sigh* I feel like theres no way a WILD will work for me, because I can't even get into SP. Am I doing something wrong?

I generally suck at WILDs. I either just fall right to sleep, or more commonly I never fall asleep and just lay there for hours.

However, neither seem to be your problem. From my experience there are two ways to enter a WILD dream. Either staying awake as you enter the dream, which is the ideal way. Or falling asleep then waking up a moment after having entered the dream.

I think its fairly common to start dreaming, and fade in and out while attempting a WILD. It sounds like you were dreaming, it just wasn't a very deep sleep.

It's called hypnogogia, and it's perfectly normal. Your on the right track, just keep working. Your farther than I've ever gotten!

I wasn't in SP, seeing as I could move as soon as I became aware I was in bed.

Hypnogogia and sleep paralysis can happen independently of one another. Keep working, you'll get it.

You can enter a dream without feeling Sleep Paralysis [to me it's uncommon, but there is times that i enter a dream without feeling the SP...]
