Talking Finally caught a false awakening.

I don't recall trying to WILD. What I do remember is waking up and thinking about it, but being too tried to try.

Anyways, I was having some weird ass dream and then I woke up in another bed in my room. I wasn't aware that this was a false awakening, but all of a sudden I started looking at my hands, and they were normal. I guess I should credit this to the fact that I've started looking at my hands as a state test, and I've had like 5 lucids already, in the span of a week. I used to just plug my nose but that only gave me a few here and there. Anyways, after I saw my hands were normal, I plugged my nose and I could breate.... but guys... everything was EXTREMELY realistic... I was in such awe at the fact that I was actually dreaming because of how normal everything was... I was even afraid to jump out the window and start flying, so I just stood in bed and kept breathing through my nose. It was the most awesome lucid dream I've ever had, simply because of the detail and "Real-time". Usually a dream has that "dreamy" feeling but not this one. To TRULY make sure I was dreaming, I cupped my hands together and said, "If I'm dreaming, then there will be a diamond ring in my hands when I open them". I opened them. And the diamond ring was there, on my ring finger.

I then got up and walked to my living room, where my mom was carving this little boat, and she asked for help. But instead of using the saw, I used my hands. I remember feeling the wood... and some cold plaster on the table, it was absolutely amazing. The happiness that I woke up with stayed with me throughout the day. =].

Thanks for reading, I really needed to share that.
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

I'm hoping to get that kind of clarity and vividness if I master WILDs.

Lol, it was just like I told ya in that last thread you made: Start practicing RC's when you wake up, and eventually you'll do one during a False Awakening and turn that into a LD. Gratz on that though. I've caught up a couple FAs myself, and its quite interesting at how realistic it seems.

I think it has to do with the fact that when you wake up, you truly believe you're awake, as opposed to a normal dream, where you aren't in that state of "This is all real" but rather "I'll just go with this.".

I think that RC EVERY TIME YOU WAKE should be the first thing people are told when they sign up for DV. I've seen so many posts where people say they've missed FAs.

      "Gratz on that though."

Gratz? Is that short for congratulations? Not seen that before. I'll use that

Yea, I'm starting to have a lot of FA's. I missed 1 this morning, but I had too much on my mind to worry about it.

I have FA's fairly often (at least once a week probably) and others probably have them often too. So, like TheWeirdnessSymposium suggested, we should all do RC's right when we wake up! This would have helped me a lot when I first started with LD and Dreamviews, because I had FA's ALL the time. Why did I not think of this sooner??? Congratulations Elucive! The first REALLY realistic dreams are great (especially when you're lucid).
      ...And then to dream...

I had two FAs in one night a while ago, and what I remember most is the realism. I looked at my carpet and could see the individual fibers. They were among the most realistic dreams I remember having.
Willing to talk about/listen to anything you have to say.
