Attempting WILD, gets into SP, then...?

Hello. I've got to ask these questions I hopefully you can help me out. I've been attempting WILD for about a week now. These attempts are the result of what I think happened on two occasions last week. As outlined in this post: http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=83895 The conclusion I've made so far is that this most likely must have had something to do with SP / WILD. Though I might be all wrong as well. I am simply not sure.

To get to the point. I've tried the WILD in the afternoon and as I lay down to sleep at night. I have no problem whatsoever reaching the first steps of SP. 15 to 20 minutes and I'm feeling numb, and a slight change of axis. Trembling. Sometimes a rush through the body. But at this point my breathing gets really weird and ugly. I know that there is no danger of suffocation and that it is normal. But I have real problems staying relaxed. The feeling of constricted breathing makes my physical action of breathing too physical. Like I'm putting too much effort into not making too much effort breathing. I am still breathing deep, but lightly into the stomach, like when sleeping, but it is, well, a little in gasps. I really don't get any further than this, but I get there most everytime I try.

      How to cope with this?
Any other tips are welcome as well!

Don't think about it. Don't focus on the weird sensations . Instead, start imagining the place where you want to start out your LD. Pick a place you know. Maybe your backyard. Feel the heat. Feel the grass on your bare feet. Hear the birds and the neighbors. See the gate that leads to your front yard, or wherever else in existence or nonexistence you chose. Ya get it?

I will try that out, indeed. But I really wonder, is there any good explanation to why the breathing gets all funny? To me I think it is due to breathing being both a reflex as well as a usercontrolled option. You may decide to stop breathing but once you pass out the body starts to breathe as the reflex kicks in.

Is this something similiar? That my ( unwanted ) struggle to maintain control of the breathing while the SP tries to put the reflexbreathing into motion makes the weird and uncomfortable feeling?

Umm honestly I couldn't tell you. My SP is pretty problem free.

Well. I'll be working at it. Read somewhere that people use white noise to focus at nothing. Might be worth a shot. ARC by Neil Young! Hehe! No way of knowing where you'll end up then though! Guitarheaven of course, but apart from that...

Hi. You asked about time and I really don't think it take a certain set amount of time from start to SP. I really think it is rather individual ,as well as down to how well you relax. Noticed as I tried yesterday that it starts to numb down really quick when I manage to focus on not being focused, ( strange thing, I know. ) and stays there. But I really don't know for sure. Just getting the hang of my self.
