      Too long?

Alright, I've been trying the WILD technique for two weeks now without much sucess. I don't really know what I'm doing wrong, I usually relax before going to bed, by reading or listening to some light music afterwhich I close off the lights. I wait for a few minutes before attempting to stay immobile. I slow down my breathing, and think of Lucid Dreaming. Thing is, I never fall asleep or feel sleep paralysis. I read that I have to supress any movements in order to trick my brain into believing the body is asleep, but so far I have gone for about an hour of staying motionless.

Is there something I'm doing wrong? Am I just not tired enough, or do I just try too hard?

I must say that at times my body does move by itself, but that must of happened twice and was minimal.

      Any tips for beginners?

Its because your doing it before you go to bed, which wont work. You should have around 6 hours of sleep before trying to wild or try to wild during a mid-day nap.
You spend 1/3 of your life asleep, so why waste it?
