      WILD attempt experience

Okay, this is going to be one of those "how close was I?" posts.

I seemed to go into new territory today and I want to know if I'm getting closer, or just hallucinating that I am (if that makes sense?)

I got to a very relaxed state and reached the stage I've been reaching for a few days now - my body started to feel as though there was internal pressure - in some areas it was greater than others (especially the head which feels like you could pop it with a pin and blood would explode everywhere).

So far, I'd concentrated on the sound of my fan but I seemed to be stuck. I felt sort of numb, but knew I probably wasn't in SP. So I did something I thought I'd read about somewhere - I decided to give SP a nudge. I imagined wiggling my left hand about.

Suddenly the 'wiggliness' shot across my whole body and it was like my body exploded into this wiggliness, with my whole body covered in lots of independent wiggling areas. Also, there was suddenly a very bright light, like someone was shining a torch about two inches away from my face (I had a blindfold on).

I stopped there - I was kinda suffering from concentration fatigue.

How close? Did I do it right? Did I make any error?

      Underwhelmed

I just got the same again. Though this time it was more like more body was flying around the room.

      Pretty cool, actually.

So, any chance of getting some feedback here? Or are intelligent questions verboten? Do you only get responses to questions on here when you ask a stupid question that's covered in the tutorials anyway, like:

      What does WBTB stand for?
Can I WILD with my eyes open?
Can I WILD when I first go to bed?

Are you using your imagination only to cause the wiggling? In other words is your subconscious creating a involuntary imagined whole body wiggling inspired by your voluntary whole body imagined wiggle?

Were you close? sure =0) An alert attitude of emotional detachment & an idea of a desired outcome are very helpful. Every failure can support your success. Or every failure can bury you. You must decide. Ask your self what is the obstacle. When you know that you know the desired outcome. what can you do to achieve that. Persistence is most valuable in obtaining feedback from your life experience. Your experience is more valuable than any technique as we are all unique. Every stream has its own bed. It flows effortlessly never doubting where it is going because it is sure it will get there.

Acheiving an attitude like this takes time. The key thing is to remember anothers experience will never be your own. We all have to answer our own questions through personal experience. Surround yourself with masters. Be inspired. You are where you are and you will never be where you want to if you can not be here & now. When you are there you won't have to ask. You will know. Enjoy the journey & your own intelligence.

Be empty & be full. Happy Trails! =0)

      Hi HDLL

I wrote that post after a failed WILD attempt and was in a very bad mood. Seems funny now.

Last night I did have a kind of unintentional WILD. I lost consciousness for a bit and then felt the spinning/rollercoaster-effect and went with it and before I knew it I was at the end of my bed.

Some of my actions - like my RCs - were almost automatic in the LD, so I think this shows that although you can think you're not actually achieving tangible results, your subconscious is still working away at the problem.

I think what Clairity said was right - LDing is fantastic, but utterly frustrating sometimes.
