      WILD Dress Code?

      Hey

Not alot is said on this site about what to wear when we go to bed and try these lucid dreaming techniques. I usually sleep in nice comfortable boxers or naked, which means there's is no annoying itches on my body when I sleep, however, I am beginning to think, that maybe these annoying itches will help with WILD. I mean, the goal is to wait for your body to fall asleep but your mind to stay awake and itches (which we are told not to scratch) are ways our body tests us to see if we are asleep. If these itches don't come, which they usually don't for me, it might be harder to achieve WILD, or not at all.

Question is, should we intentionally attempt the WILD wearing itch-inducing clothes such as a woolen jumper and uncomfortable track-suit pants?

      Thoughts on this are welcome.

Interesting question, but I think the signs that your body gives as "itches" are not actual itches in the physical sense, they're just psychological. Your body can't create physical phenomena, it can only create mind hallucination phenomena, which it may do in the form of "psycho itches" when it's trying to test your consciousness as you're about to go to sleep.

So I would recommend wearing comfortable clothing, because it will help you relax. Wearing itch-induce clothes like woolen shirts will only induce physical discomfort, which will make it harder for you to relax. The itches the body creates for you are only in your mind, not in reality.

I'm not so sure about the itches helping. One night when I tried to WILD, I had this SUPER huge itch on my stomach. It was like nothing I have ever felt before! I tried so hard to avoid it, but I just couldn't and I gave in.
