      Willpower & Resistance

Whenever I try to WILD, I always seem to encounter the same set of problems:

Problem 1 - I have to set a quiet alarm that will wake me up at 3 or 4. For whatever reason, I sleep in fits up until that point. Is my body "anticipating" the rude awakening. Is there a way to resolve this?

Problem 2 - I always seem to get some horrible itch when I am about ten minutes into the relaxation stage of WILD. Is there a way to combat this? Or circumvent the problem altogether? Some kind of creative visualization I can do to numb the urge?

Problem 3 - If I manage to fight of the urge to scratch an itch, I encounter this shortly after. The urge to move completely. I start to feel warm, stifled, like I'm in a stuffy room (which makes no sense, because my bedroom is usually about 62F and well circulated in the winter). This problem inevitably gets me every time. Sometimes, it's so severe that breathing becomes difficult (even though I know that is an illusion).

Answers would be greatly appreciated. I know some of you out there are practically experts on the subject.
This is the date of my first lucid: 3/6/2010
It took WAY TOO LONG - but was completely worth it.

Well it`s only my guess that it`s SP. I myself have never reached SP

I am hardly new to lucid dreaming (or attempting to do so). I am aware that the problems I face are mind tricks before SP. I need a way to work around them.

I have the exact same problem. My ways of getting around this were to sort of set a random alarm, but ensure that I don't press it too many times so that it'll go off after I'm due to get up. Also, I've just not been using the alarm and finding that I get up naturally during the night.

I think everyone gets this itch, our body's way of checking if we're awake. Only way to get rid of it is to not scratch yet somehow to focus your attention elsewhere, like on any HI or perhaps a MILD visualization technique where you picture a scene and see yourself becoming lucid.

I also get this exact urge and it pretty much beats me everytime, it's very uncomfortable (even though I shouldn't be so warm). I think tonight I'm gonna try and overcome this and see what happens, or really divert my attention from it if possible.

On the breathing becoming difficult, I don't get that when I get that stuffy feeling, but I do when I sort of enter SP.
