      I think I REALLY need help =[

So I've been trying to lucid dream for a while now...

I've been recording my dreams and I question my reality quite often during the day, but still I am unable to have any Lucid Dream at all.

Last night I even tried my first proper WBTB. I was awoken by my friends alarm at 5:51 and stayed up until about 6:24, writing in my Dream Journal about how I was going to have a lucid dream and what I was doing at the time.

So when I went back to bed, I decided to try to WILD, and was laying there for about 30 minutes without any progress when my eyes just opened. I know this can sometimes mean you were flung into a dream, so I did many reality checks and got nothing, so I just went to sleep normally. Then I woke up and couldn't even remember any of my dreams and didn't have a lucid dream.

The ONLY point of interest would be DURING my WILD attempt, I started to drift off and I had a REALLY vivid vision of me picking up my phone and someone was calling as I picked it up. Then I remember thinking "Be careful, you might be dreaming" and got a MASSIVE tingle throughout my body, but then I knew I was just lying in my bed again :S.

This is so annoying. Can anyone maybe share some suggestions please?

P.S. I might point out that after about 20minutes of WILDing, I heard REALLY loud bird chirping. I don't mean like one bird chirping lol. I'd heard some birds outside but they were rather far away, and then all of a sudden I heard HEAPS and HEAPS of chirping, like a flock of birds flew into my room :S

I can say that doing Reality Checks during the day may not help you at all..
when i stopped doing RCs i started having more LDs, maybe cuz i stopped thinking about it the WHOLE day as i was doing.
So if it didnt helped you so far, i suggest you stopping doing, and living for LD (if you are of course lol)

      You need patience.
everyone that trains for LDing, will sometime LD.
Some early, others not too early.

      __
You had one LD so far, right?
The more you have it, more usual it will be.

Be patient and dont stop training.
maybe do a WBTB everyday, without waking up for one hour, just set the alarm, wake up, notice that you are awake, and go back do sleep

I had one LD like 6 months ago, then got frustrated and stopped. Even then it was me noticing I'm dreaming and then waking up.

      hmm.
I think you will have to start all over again so /:

just keep it, and this time dont give up, cuz trust me.
its worth it when you get the long and vivid LDs

You open the door, and throw away the keys. Someone is my head, but its not me.

I've been working on it for about 3 weeks now.

I follow the massive guides to the letter and nothing works.

      As i said.
dont think about LD the whole day..

Before bed its good to make a MILD, but in MY EXPERIENCE (that is short), when i stopped thinking about LDing, and just knowing about it existance, and that i could have one at that night, i started to have it with more frequence.

And 3 weeks its not a long time.
I had my first with 1 month and a week.

The second came in the second month, and than my LDs started to be more usual

I would agree on the don't live for lucid dreams thing. Don't let it cloud over everything, because it can back fire. I would suggest relaxing a little bit, and focusing on MILD. Its like the best tech in my eyes and evryone overlooks it!
      Lucid dreams, gotta love em.

The part where you said: "I started to drift off and I had a REALLY vivid vision" ... im actually gonna focus on "I started to drift off"

That exact state you were in at that very moment is right where you wanted to be. However, you want to stay there for more then just a few seconds. You want to be able to see an entire dream-scape. You want to wait until the dream starts flowing. THEN you 'come-to'. ..You were actually very close to starting a conscious dream.

Oh dammit! So instead of not working at all, I totally almost had it?

I'll try it again tomorrow night and try to instead of just lying still, imagine everything lol. I thought I was almost there when that phone thing happened but then I got frustrated. =/
