Herbs, teas, supplements, substances to attain lucidity

I was just wondering if anybody new any? White tea before I go to sleep works for me...I think it has to with the perfect amount of caffeine for LDing. So far chocolate hasn't done anything, and coffee keeps me too awake to fall asleep. I have also heard magnolia oil would work, but I put some on my pillow one night right before and I went to sleep and nothing happened. The funny thing about the white tea phenomenon was that I wasn't even trying to have a lucid dream that night. It just happened, along with some other weird outer-body experiences. So I had the same amount of the tea before I went to sleep the next night and it worked.

What do you use? What have you heard?

I tried mugwort and calea, just for the hell of it. Mugwort just gave me kind of sped up dreams, they all seemed to be on fast forward or something, and calea when i had a fair bit before bed (following instructions on bottle) did exactly the same thing - just sped thigns up, and got me no closer to lucidity. White tea is an interesting idea though

      wine helps with everything

Though, I never really found any teas, or any other substances that help me attain lucidity. It's all natural for me

oh yeah! that's a good idea! I read in my pyschology book that alcohol will make you fall asleep faster, but you won't sleep very WELL...which will probably make you remember your dreams better...or something...

Bare in mind, tea and herbs will never be as strong as alcohol obviously.

But lavender tea is meant to be good for sleep.

White tea is the least processed version of "true" tea (true meaning it is made from the same herb as green/black tea, can't remember the name). Red tea, I believe, is not a "true" tea but rather is an "herbal" tea.
