    1. New Dungeon Turns into Star Trek Ride or Walkthru, Followed by Walking Thru Disneyland

      by , 07-25-2013 at 02:02 AM
07-24-2013 -- There are hints of the new graphics from Runescape 3, or an improvement of the graphics in Roller Coaster Tycoon to allow a stronger black and prevent light leaking into dark rides, but not enough details to say there was more than a hint of them. What I do know is that this started as mostly some kind of game, with just a hint of real life, and quickly shifted to being entirely real life.

I am exploring a building somewhere, and find a secret passage or something, leading down into a deeper level of dungeon or catacomb, or whatever it might be, and am commenting on the great textures and looks of the very dark, rocky walls. The paths leading deeper down look much like mine tunnels, without the bracings, though there is also a hint of a dark, rough metal, in the walls of a spaceship. It is a maze of passages, great stuff, and there are some others here who have found the same secret entrance that I have (or perhaps others) and are wandering around, and there is a hint of the forbidden ... that this is an area we aren't allowed in, but have found our way into, anyway.

I keep wandering around, occasionally finding small, almost hidden branching passages that take me even deeper into this maze of passageways, while others comment on how I might get myself in trouble, but it seems like they are jealous that they can't find the hidden passages as easily. Oddly, for what seem to be dark, deep cave-like passages, there are things like restrooms and dressing rooms carved out in the depths, and I am half considering sharing a restroom with an attractive lady I see entering one. Instead, I put it out of my mind. Soon the cave passages are more and more coming to resemble passageways on a very dark (in coloring) space ship, and I eventually find myself in a sort of locker room / wardrobe where there are hundreds of Starfleet uniforms in various colors and styles, representing the different levels of star ship officers, and all kinds of other jobs not directly relating to Starfleet, but still seen in the various Trek shows.

I look around, and want a uniform, but I know there is almost no chance they have anything in my size. (I'm a huge guy.) So I walk off, disappointed, though moments later, a red uniform shirt like Picard or Riker wore just appears on me. As I continue to wander around, I run into more and more people, some in regular clothes, others who have also found the locker room, and have assumed uniforms. I feel slightly out of place, wondering if I have the right to claim a captain's uniform, but generally just act like I belong. Some of the people I run into are just wandering around, enjoying themselves, while others are role-playing. Some want to fight with people, dressed as the occasional hairy Trek monster, or more powerful intelligent races. One attacks me, and expects to defeat me and take my uniform, but I am wearing gloves covered in hair, like from the abominable snowman or bigfoot or something, and it gives me the power to defeat him, even though he is wearing gloves that can conduct an electrical current into his enemies.

Soon I run into Adrian Monk (it is Monk, not Tony), who is wearing one of the yellow captain's uniforms from the original Trek, and complaining about little nit-picking details about every other person he runs into. This one has the wrong number of pips on his uniform. That one is wearing the wrong pants. A Vulcan wouldn't speak like that. A Klingon wouldn't be caught dead in that color. The type of tiny things that would drive Monk crazy, or that a fan obsessed to a ridiculous extent would write letters to complain about. He starts to complain about something about my uniform, so I strip the shirt off, just to find that underneath it I have on the original Trek yellow, and Monk just has more to complain about. So I just start to walk away from him. But oddly, I could swear I know him from somewhere. Somewhere Disney, not from Monk.

About this time, I am slowly starting to make my way back out of the wealth of catacombs, and I run into a young woman with short blonde hair in a yellow shirt, almost a dead ringer for Tasha Yar. At first she thinks I am somebody she knows, and she starts to flirt with me. Then she realizes I am not who she thought, but still continues to flirt so I pick her up in my arms and start carrying her bridal-style, to the annoyance of her companion, who, for the moment, is also dressed in yellow, but who I recognize as Joy from the Adventurers Club, and she doesn't seem to like me, which surprises me, because I always seemed to get along with Joy. Now she is wearing the French Maid outfit, and the girl I am holding in my arms is another French Maid, though one of the ones near the end that I didn't know. Still cute, though. I comment on the outfit, commenting I don't recall anything like that ever being a Starfleet regulation uniform, and Joy makes a derogatory comment, something along the lines that she hates role players. (Seems sort of hypocritical to me.) I make another Trek reference, and she pulls her companion from my arms and drags her off in a huff.

As I finally make it out of the complex, I find myself exiting into Tomorrowland. It seems this is a new ride / walk-through that isn't actually supposed to be open yet, but I seem to have wandered into a soft opening or something. I head out, planning to do some wandering through the park, but I haven't been to Disneyland in several years (except for backstage at the Golden Horseshoe in a dream a couple of days ago), and I am really shocked when I reach Main Street. They seem to be doing one of the months-long themes like they have done in the past (ie Circus Fantasy, State Fair) but this one is a sort of cross between mafia, prohibition, and the roaring twenties, but very dark and oppressive. There are still lights on Main Street, but there is something oppressive and evil about them, it looks more like the red light district in Amsterdam than the wholesome looks of Main Street USA.

There is still streetmosphere, but instead of characters and barbershop quartets, it is more like gangsters, gang members, and the worse kind of flappers hanging on their arms, guns plainly visible. It is just the wrong atmosphere entirely. I try to wander over by Coke Corner to see who is playing the piano, and it is a dark haired female playing some dark jazz. Not sure, but it might have been Carol Stein. I find Main Street to be tremendously depressing now, so I try to continue on to Adventureland, and at the entrance, I run into three people from the Adventurer's Club, doing some kind of skit out in the streets, and I realize they must have a banquet in the Club or something. I think the three are Tim, Karl, and Philip, dressed in the old costumes for Fletcher, probably Otis, and Emil, and I suddenly recognize that 'Monk' earlier had been Philip dressed up and role-playing as Tony Shalhoub's character in Galaxy Quest. They are doing something that seems to involve putting together several 10 foot long sections of pipe and using them as a straw or something.

As I try to move into Adventureland, I find the entrance is blocked off for refurbishing, so I have to detour through Frontierland. As I am doing so, I run into one of the Hathaways I don't know, and am amazed to find we are wearing the same bright green pants. Odd ... I could have sworn I was wearing black pants when I was in the Star Trek uniforms. I continue into Frontierland, just to find that almost the entirety of Frontierland, Adventureland and New Orleans Square are closed down for refurbishing, including the entire building that houses the Golden Horseshoe Revue, which leaves me wondering about my new job there. [See dream from last night.] The Rivers of America are quiet, with both the Mark Twain and the Columbia sitting there, unused, in a sort of dry dock, and as I continue on, the first thing I find is actually open is the Haunted Mansion, just beyond the French Quarter of New Orleans Square. I try to cut through the French Market restaurant, to see if I can get back to the Club (which I guess has been moved here and located right between the Treehouse and Pirates), but it is blocked off there, too.

I am getting annoyed and tired, and end up taking a rest on a hand railing (very gently, don't want to cause it any harm), but one of the cast members starts to glare at me. Somehow this ends up in his pointing out a security camera to me, and me pointing out another one to him, and our getting into a competition to see who can find more of the somewhat hidden cameras quicker. He is soon amazed at how many of them I can point out to him, and I explain I can half-sense them, and half spot a bit of reflection off of the lenses. I mention that I couldn't spot any of them in the new Trek walkthrough, though, and theorize that might be because of how dark it was. (Never mind the cameras are easier to see in the dark, with those purple lights they have.) Somebody who was just walking past us says "Is that open now? I thought it was still a ways away." I mention the soft opening, and that the first day or two you can get a free Starfleet uniform, and he goes running off toward tomorrowland, while I wake up.
    2. Tormenting a Disney Employee, Fighting an Invasion with Star Trek, and Superheroes

      by , 10-28-2012 at 06:14 PM
10-28-2012 -- [Darn it! Some dreams with great possibilities from last night, but I can remember almost nothing of them! Guess I have to post them as fragments again, and lump two or three together, rather than do them separately. Meanwhile, I have been having dreams to write down for the last week, but haven't had the time to post them, and won't for a couple more days. Will eventually be able to catch up again.]

Fragment 1 -- I'm kind of in a sort of nature area, and I am kind of being forced to do something, but I have no idea what. I get the feeling it was all sort of Harry Potter related, and also had something to do with cats, which makes me suspect it also had to do with Mcgonagall, but I can't remember almost anything, which is very annoying.

Anyway, I soon find myself in a ride queue at Disney, and one of the people who works on the ride turns out to be the person who was forcing me to do something I didn't want to do in the last bit, and I get my revenge by coming through their line and doing something every week to annoy them. These are long, detailed things, but I can remember almost nothing of them.

I think one time through, I was talking spoilers about the ride, telling everybody what was coming, which had them mad at the staff for not stopping me. In another trip through, I was somehow firing stickers out of a sort of air cannon and onto peoples foreheads, often blocking their eyes and/or glasses and making it much harder for them to see. I took the end of a long strip of stickers on a roll from the souvenir stand, pulled it out into the line of people, and told them they were getting free stickers, which led to them wanting those stickers on their foreheads.

The whole thing was driving the female cast member nuts as she tried to catch me and throw me out, while fighting with all these people. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I came walking in with a leather belt tied around my head, the tail of the belt stuck down my throat, which somehow caused me to projectile vomit non-stop. I vomited on everybody and everything else in line, but when I tried to vomit on the cast member, she tried to duck into a sort of stairwell, and found herself trapped there. I vomited a huge amount down on top of her, and somehow it caused an explosion and vomit suddenly spewed back out of the stairwell, flying everywhere, even hitting me. Yuck. But it drove the cast member nuts.

Somehow this led to me kind of getting together romantically with another cast member, an attractive blonde. There was a ton more detail than I can remember, and instead of being gross the whole thing was actually quite funny, but I just can't remember it well enough to do it justice.

      ---

Fragment 2 (right before waking for the day) First bit I can remember is walking back on forth on Crescent past the nursery, kicking a little sand, worrying about red ants, and a vague memory of somebody stuck up, snotty, demanding, and perhaps alien arguing with me.

I'm pretty sure I kind of tell them off, and start walking toward Buena Park. There's detail here, but nothing I can remember. The tiniest hint of kicking something metal as I walk along. By the time I am ready to turn on Hickory, I glance across at Tom's house, and somehow I can see a reflection from the pool of an attractive blond swimming in a white, semi-transparent suit. [Think Leslie Easterbrook in the swimming pool scene in the Police Academy movies] I think it is Tom's mom, even though I seem to remember her being a brunette.

Somehow I suddenly find myself in a sort of meeting in a room that I kind of feel is at Fullerton College. It still has something to do with aliens, and in fact as we are discussing them, Hawkeye Pierce (from MASH) starts saying what he thinks, and a hanging red light bulb starts to swing toward him, somehow drawn to him. Its hard to explain, except it is some sort of alien tech that is drawn to the aliens almost magnetically, and in what we've been dealing with, we're worried he is somehow becoming alien. So the light that is kind of pulsing hypnotically also keeps swinging toward him when he speaks, but not toward anyone else.

Soon we're all walking across the campus, spreading out and heading in different directions, spreading information or something, then I find myself in another group meeting, though this time more out in the open. Oddly enough, we're now Starfleet personnel, and I am not sure, but I may be Riker. We're trying to figure out what we're going to do in regards to the aliens, and reactions have been spread in two directions, either for or against the aliens. The 'against' group, my group, has won, so we get to decide the response.

There is a lot of argument along the lines that we should take command of them or something, but Picard is here, and reminds us that would be against our oaths to the Federation, so if we went that route we would be forced out of our commissions. I start on an impassioned speech about how we won't go that route, as I, for one, am not willing to give up my position over this. But my voice is very limited, and nobody seems to hear me.

One of the opposition is starting to argue about my position and our decision, and he is overly tall, thin, and bald. I think he is probably from Mr. Homn's race. He is making an objection to what I am saying, until Picard starts walking toward him, poking him in the chest, and saying something about how actors are wonderful people, but since he is just acting, and not being honest about what he thinks, he should shut up.

      ---

A short one from yesterday: Somehow I am Spider-Man, and I find I have to tear my way through a sort of a strong, thick plastic wall surrounding a ball pit in a play area. There is a little kid watching me, and hoping I can fix everything. Problem is, the flexible plastic shield is very strong, and I have to really exert myself to finally manage to tear it, and find myself falling face first into the ball pit.

Soon I find myself staring up through the colorful balls, catching glimpses of my surroundings in the gaps between balls. Somehow I seem to be fighting my way through a corridor to reach a sort of female ogre who I have to fight. As we're fighting, she is slowly kind of turning into Wonder Woman. And I am slowly turning from Spider-Man into Harry Potter.

Wonder Woman has an equally attractive teen age daughter who is kind of rebelling against her (teens, go figure) and since as Harry Potter, I am also a teen, we are kind of close. Somehow it seems Wonder Woman has kind of adopted me, at least unofficially. As things heat up between WW and her daughter, she somehow starts singing something about how it is only because she loves her, and "that's the way it should be." Its nice, but kind of dorky. Then everybody goes to take a nap or something.

Soon it seems that my Godfather, Sirius, decides he wants to check on me. He has somehow broken into the house, and is trying to sneak around silently without being seen. I am watching him silently from around a corner. He doesn't know the layout, and he ends up outside Wonder Woman's bedroom door, and her boyfriend (who may be Batman) comes out the door, and is upset to find him there.

Sirius tries to pull his wand, and the boyfriend kicks it out of his hand, then gives him a big kick and sends him flying. He turns around, and finds himself picked up and tossed to the ground by Wonder Woman before they realize who it is they are fighting, and let him go.

Sirius is on the ground, looking up at Wonder Woman. She is not wearing her hero garb, but street clothes, and seems to be in a gray skirt down nearly to her knees. He grabs on to her to try and pull himself up, not meaning anything by it, but what looks like a gray skirt turns out to be made of dozens of thin strips that part under his hands, leaving him pulling himself up by more or less grasping her (admittedly very attractive) butt, in a pair of semi-small (but not quite thong) pair of panties.

Sirius falls back to the ground in shock, turning crimson from embarrassment, while I just stand there laughing my head off at the whole situation!
    3. Saving Picard with the Avada Kedavra

      by , 09-28-2012 at 04:53 PM
09-28-2012 -- [Was going to post two dreams in one post, because this first bit felt like a fragment, but when I got finished entering it, it seemed well long enough to stand on it's own.]

Started with some sort of Runescape stuff, probably involving farming and possibly picking up orts. May have extended to a quest that leads into the Harry Potter bits. [Speaking of Runescape and Harry Potter, might it not be neat to have a Harry Potter MMORPG, where you create a character, get sorted into one of the houses, and start doing quests and things as a Hogwarts student?]

Anyway, somehow Dumbledore has been cursed with some kind of slow-acting but very powerful death magic, and is in the process of dying. After lots of research and the like, we discover that he needs to be hit with just enough Avada Kedavras to kill off the death magic, but not a single one more than that, as once the death magic has been defeated, a single avada kedavra would instantly kill him, as usual.

Ron and I are at Hogwarts (which seems to bear a striking resemblance to Savanna High School) to seek Minerva's help. It seems the AK is quite difficult to cast, and in usual circumstances a powerful witch or wizard could cast it, at most, four times, and it seems likely it is going to take around twelve AKs to save Dumbledore.

We're getting ready to go see Dumbledore at the hospital, and Minnie is asking if we have all we need ... I check my supplies and find I have my three cans of Chek soda (Winn-Dixie Supermarket store brand) to keep me awake and boost my energy. I drink 1 1/2 cans, and confirm I am ready. We run out to the parking lot and climb into our separate cars, and I start my engine and begin to drive. People are going really slow in the parking lot, so I pull into the in-bound lane to pass them.

I'm almost certain one of the slow idiots who I passed was Fudge, who is kind of upset about it, so it seems I am in trouble with the ministry. I zip past him and into the driveway leading to the street, then onto the street in a pick-up lane, where I kind of halt to wait a few moments for Ron and Minerva to catch up.

Suddenly we are at the hospital. Minerva knows what needs to be done, and she walks into Albus's room and starts silently casting. There is no sound, but just a slight pulsing emerald-green light as she casts not four, but six avada kadavras. I don't know how she manages to do it, but she does. As she exits the room and I walk up, a doctor chooses to turn off the light or something, which may make it harder to hide what spell we are casting.

I walk into the room right as Albus wakes up, except he seems to be being played by Patrick Stewart. I ask him how he is doing, and he says he is feeling quite a bit better ... in fact ... he does a sort of forward roll to flip out of bed and onto the floor, where he is lying on his back. Before I can offer any assistance, he does that 'power move' wrestlers do where he arches his back to bring his feet under him, then manages to spring to his feet like somebody many years younger.

Obviously Minerva's spells helped greatly. But I still need to cast, as well. Problem is, now that the lights are out, the flash of the AK is going to be much more noticeable. I also cannot yet do silent casting, so I also have to worry about people hearing me cast. I draw the blinds to limit the light that escapes, and am trying to whisper the spell, but I just can't seem to produce anything. I am really working on making my pronunciation as perfect as possible, and am getting louder and louder, concentrating on trying to build up the power I need.

Thankfully, the only people close enough to hear me are the doctors, and while this treatment scares them silly, they at least know what we are trying to do, and that Albus isn't dead yet, even though Minerva hit him with the curse several times. Meanwhile, I now know why Minerva pushed to hit him with six curses ... if I have this much trouble throwing the curse once, it is probably going to be just me and Minnie. Ron isn't probably going to manage it at all. I'm still trying when I wake up.
