Lately a lot of my dreams have been ending with someone chasing me.

In my last dream, I'm walking home alone from a concert and It's really late at night. There are hardly any lights as I'm walking down the street and I can barely see anything. I see a flash up ahead as if someone took a picture of me from a distance. I turned on the next street and it was dark enough to the point where I actually had to look down by my feet just so I could stay on the sidewalk and not accidently wander into the street. Finally some of the darkness clears up a little bit and I'm at a corner one block from my house. I notice someone walking on the otherside of the street who appeared to be homeless and they looked at me for a second and walked away. Then I saw a car coming and I hid behind something(another car). They stared at me as they drove by and someone in the car jumped out and began running after me with a knife. Since it was dark I thought I could run around a couple houses and hide somewhere but he outran me and I began to fear for my life as he got closer. Just before he was about to stab me I woke up.

This is probably the only dream I had that ended negatively, but aside from that almost all my dreams have ended with somebody chasing after me, and then I wake up. What could this mean? I have it so often I get the feeling my subconscious is trying to tell me something.
the mind is everything, what you think, you become...

Do you sometimes have a feeling in your waking life that somebody tries to invade your privacy? This flesh of light (snapshot) in the dream while you are walking alone from the concert in the darkness...
      I'm tired being sorry.

It sounds as though somebody's watching you in the dream... how did you feel about this? Like, were you nervous, or what?

Is there ACTUAL darkness in the dream? It could just be that the dream lacks vividity... I sometimes find that some of my less vivid dreams "seem" dark, when it's only just because there's a "gap" in vividity...

Hmmm... being chased in dreams is quite common... it seems the threat in this dream is something menacing, threatening. Also, it seems like whatever is chasing you is also "watching" you, with the camera, and then the guy on the other side of the street. So, something is chasing you and watching you... a sort of menacing, supervisory sort of entity...

Some personal information would help, like, how old are you, and do you live with your parents still, etc...

It SEEMS to me like this dream might represent you trying or wanting to escape the scrutiny of others... there also seems to be a general feeling that someone or something is out to get you, and is watching you... social pressure? I dunno... it's hard to be more specific in this interpretation without knowing more about you...

Alright, I know this dream happened all the way in August, and I am not sure if you have chasing dreams anymore, but i'll try to interpret the dream you have just given us from a different angle....

First thing I'd like to address is that by the way you describe it, the person that jumped out of the car was completely random, and was not even there a minute ago. Then he starts chasing you with a knife, for reasons unknown. Now, there are a few less possibilities as to why this guy just jumped out and attacked you. Maybe in your waking life you are finding other people suspicious of sometthing against you (a bit paranoid, but don't worry, I'm sure everyone gets paranoid lol. If they didn't, they must be living in some sort of paradise without a worry. ) Anyway, the fact is that this guy was random, so perhaps you are worried about how you are aacting in public, and that a passivve observer of your actions may suddenly become aggressive and attack you, verbally or physically. I get that worry sometimes. Seeming that they stared at you, this is probably the observing part.

Second, you say that the flash is LIKE a picture, but you don't know if it actually is a picture. If it is a picture, it is probably the same thing as in the paragraph above, but I have an idea. Maybe it wasn't a picture, maybe it was just an ordinary flash, like a car light or something. You just thought it was a camera taking a photo of you because you fear that you are being closely monitored.

Remember, you don't have to consiously think that you are being watched, it could be totally subconcious, and you are finding out this the hard way through a nightmare. I hpoe this helped you Tsukin, or other people having similar dreams ~Stoat
