Soulmate.... to be or not to be?

This pass Saturday (1-5-2008) night, I had a dream where my sister named Erin (she passed away three years ago) came to visit me. She said, "you will meet your soulmate in two weeks."

      I said, "Really...What's his name?"

      She said, "Richard Whittaker."

I'm not sure if I got the last name right but it started with a W. I definetly heard the first name correctly though. Anybody have any guesses? Could this just be symbolic or is this the real deal? I believe Spirit has been getting me ready for my soulmate though. Just bc of little signs here and there. A few weeks ago I had a lucid dream where I traveled to a distance place via my thoughts. I meet a man and he asked me, "You're not ready to die, are you? You still want to experience true love, don't you?"

I said, "Yes." Then he sent me back to earth.

Over three months ago both, a prophet and a psychic (two different people), told me I would meet my soulmate in 3-6 months. The prophet was a complete stranger I met while waiting for a train. (Funny thing is, Spirit told me to take the train on that very day). The prophet's exact words were, "You will have your Boaz in 70 days."

So maybe this dream falls inline with that timeline. I dunno. Any guesses?

If you want to find someone, you must look, don't put your trust in fate to do it for you. Dreams are more often false than true, and psychics and prophets are masters at guessing and telling you what you want to happen. A soulmate is a common goal and thus a good prediction for any fortune teller to make, most people would want one, and if they say they're already dating, the psychic can just say that this new person is better. Three to six months is also a great timespan, short enough that you'll look forward to it, but long enough that you won't be overly skeptical, or be likely to track down the psychic again to tell them they're wrong.

I see your POV about the psychic predictions but I was more curious about the dream and what it could mean. If it's not to be interpreted literally then what is the message my sister was sending me in this dream? What does the name Richard mean, for instance? Anybody?

Ha ha! I thought it would be interesting to google Richard Whittaker and I decided that the first picture that came up would have something to do with your soulmate and this was the picture:

      Ha ha haaaaaaaa!!!!!!

The way I see it, there are lots of possibilities on what it could be. Here's the scale I see of the most obvious possibilities, ranged approximately from most assumptions needed to believe it, to least.

Things requiring too many uncommon assumptions to be worth discussing in detail.
("It's lizard people making the dreams! They rule the world, you know.")

Your sister is directly in communication with you. Her prediction is accurate, down to the exact name and time.

Your sister is directly in communication with you. Her prediction is somewhat accurate but possibly not exact, and you will meet your soulmate soon.

Your sister is directly in communication with you. It's possible her prediction is inaccurate and not going to happen.

(Personally, I consider everything above here to be extremely unlikely.)

It's possible it's only a dream of your sister, but through a dream version of her your mind is making an accurate prediction.

It's possible it's only a dream, and no accurate predictions are being made, but your mind is trying to tell you something.

It's possible that it's only a dream, and no accurate predictions or any messages are being conveyed, but you may be able to learn something from it anyway from how your mind interpreted it.(This is the one I favor)

It's possible it's only a dream and is completely random.

Things requiring too little assumption to be useful.("It's possible the dream never happened, that dreaming itself doesn't exist, that nothing exists beyond my own consciousness and the perceptions it experiences.")

If you expect us to prove one to you, you're going to be disappointed. If you already have faith in one of the assumptions that allow the items on this list higher than the absolute bottom to be considered possible, than no one can prove to you that that one and those below it are impossible, since disproving things involves proving a logical conclusion, and assumptions of faith aren't based on logic.

As for what meaning could be stored in a name besides the obvious, I can think of a few things. You could look at the origins of the name, to find what they originally meant. A quick google search says that Richard means "brave power", and Whittaker means either the north part of a graveyard where criminals or poor people are buried, or 'the north-east part of a flat or shoal--the middle ground'. You could also look to see what famous people carry that name, and see what qualities or interests they have, google brings up many people here, but few really famous ones, the fist being in charge of an art museum. Personally, I believe that it probably means nothing, but like I said before, it's nothing that I can prove, just the logical conclusion of my assumption that few dreams ever actually have any intended greater meaning.
