Ok, weird dreams about my upcoming tonsilectomy. Harry Potter is added in too. Getting weird enough?

Ok, like last week, I had a dream that I went in to get my tonsils taken out (I'm actually getting this done in the summer, along with my adneoids, and they're burning holes in my sinuses.....Yay! ) They put me under, and I remember this like slide show of pictures on a red background when they were putting me under. As they erased the pictures (like you can on paint, it was a line of white going through the picture) I guess they were taking out my tonsils. I got out of it, and my throat felt a little scratchy. Then I saw one of my old bus drivers, who was training to be a nurse in real life, and she said, "You think that hurts? Wait untill you get your adnoid taken out!" So then I woke up. Now for last night: I dreamed again that I was getting my tonsils taken out. There was some Harry Potter stuff going on, because I remember there being wands and stuff. (I don't really like the magic stuff *But I'm like the Harry Potter books* in life, everyone in my family is Christian, including me) The next thing I remember is that my nurse was evil, and I was in this green room (the small one that you go to after you wait in the big one) with black trimming. I believe the ceiling was brown. Then I saw evil nurse #1 and thought "Oh Shoot!" And we ran out, narrowly missing an operation. The next thing I remember is that I was flying around our back yard, and there was all this fire and stuff. I remember there was some distress in my dream, but I can't remember what it was about. Then I woke up.... Any Idea? -_^

Dreams link to reality in funy ways. We can have allsorts of paranopias within real life. Your mind just explores these as if they are real . Dreams are not aout the realities of our thoughts they are about the way the mind sees our paranoias and fantasies as fact. They explore our inner worlds.

Tommorow you may have a dream which is exactly the opposite... ressaring you about how safe this procedure is.

      ------------------------
Dreams appear very real. We see, we think and we feel. Why is this? Well one idea is that this links to the mind and the way we use neural networks within it. We build up connections within a brain. Let’s take a practical example - learning to paint. Art is a difficult subject to learn well. We may pick up different techniques and each time something works well we store that in our brains. We may say to ourselves "the way that I used my brush really worked that time". So we reinforce certain ways of thinking. So the neural networks associated with those ways of thinking are reinforced too.
Dreams maybe appear real because we are trying to reinforce certain neural firings within the brain. So that when we are trying to motivate ourselves then we maybe visualize success because that reinforces the areas of our brain that deal with motivation. We detect a need to be more motivated and so we actually live out those motivations. In the same way sometimes we need to draw back. We maybe are acting in a risky way. Therefore our dreams may emphasize some negative ways of thinking. They maybe play out some worst possible scenario as a way of reinforcing the need for caution. So dreams can be described a consciousness of sorts. We need to actually experience things as real in order to reorder the brain. If we are too positive then we are perhaps deflated in our thinking. If we are too negative then maybe our dreams give us a push. They help us experience happiness as a way of reshaping our feelings.
