      Question Paranoia upon waking

Heya folks, long time no see.

I have fallen away from lucid dreaming for some time, somewhat on purpose but it seems to be forcing itself on me again and in the dream its great, waking up is the problem.

I was wondering if others have had any experiences somewhat like this.

I wake up about an hour after I fell asleep, the dream is fading in my mind but nothing seems right. I often look around my room and my perception is all off. Things arent where they are supposed to be or they are entirely different. There is a painting on my far wall and it will not be the right picture.
I also have a very strong paranoia that I was suposed to do something or that I am being watched, this afternoon.. (I work nights) It was so intense I went for my sword. I have it hung next to my bed on the wall, the Saya which is simple leather looked far more ornate. More like laquered wood with designs on it. I removed the blade and stared at it for a few minutes, the paranoia fading, my cat mewled because I disturbed her sleep and that seemed to clear my mind a bit. I returned the sword to its scabbard and then went back to sleep.

This has been happening in varying degrees and at this point I am pretty sure I am going to move the blade away from the bed, I once woke up with it still sheathed but off the wall and at my side.

This is happening only when I sleep alone, without the influence of drugs or alchohol. I sleep peacfully when I drink, I think that may be why I am pretty much an alchy now. But I have been cutting down and my lucidity is back and kicking me in the face.

      Thoughts? Shrink time?

      Anyone I know still round?

      His heart knows only virtue.
      His blade defends the helpless.
      His might upholds the weak.
      His word speaks only truth.
      His wrath undoes the wicked."

      It's self-explanatory.

To me it sounds like the beginning signs of schizofrenia, but hopefully it's not that bad. It might, however, be anxiety or depression, which is causing you a great deal of stress and rendering you reluctant to get up in the morning. Though I'm not overly familiar with this. Perhaps it would be wise to seek out a psychologist? Just to get a gist of what it might be? Because I doubt it's a trifle.

I wish you well, and good luck!
