      Ok i need some help

      I keep doing this, i turn over to go to sleep and just as i'm drifting off i have like a mini dream. I know i'm not asleep whilst i'm thinking about it. Is it a dream or just my thoughts going crazy?

      Like, last night, just before i slept, i was like dreaming/imagining a burger van or something like that but i knew i was wary of going in there but i wasn't sure why.

      Anyone help me out? Tell me why on earth i have these mini dreams and what they are?

      They could be part of HI. During hypnagogic imagery some people see short dream-like segments; they come from their conscious brain pulling up or registering random images and memories from the subconscious as it sorts through the day.

      Or it could just be your normal process of going to sleep; I don't want to wrongly label something. I used to experience that almost every night--I'd sort of slip in and out of consciousness and random dream scenes would unfold. The illusion would pull me away from consciousness, and I would either fall asleep or wake up and realize I was sort of dreaming. Either way, your thoughts aren't going crazy. What you're seeing is a natural part of falling asleep.

      Ahh right! Thank you Because i'm so excited about the possibility of the fact i'm dreaming and i know it, i wake myself up straight away haha. It's really annoying.
