Mine are usually about a page long, but really it's however long you feel is nescessary to get all the information and important points down. |

Just a few weeks ago, I had a naturally occurring lucid dream, which lasted about 10 seconds, only long enough to set my cat on fire, slam it into a wall and jump 10 feet. But it left me wanting more, and a few google searches led me to this trove of advice on how to induce them. |

It's up to you. You can write in full length of the dream but if you want to shorten on how much you want to write then you can just write key words of the dream. |

The more detail the better. Detail is key. |

I would write just as much notes as I need when I wake in the middle of the night. Then after I get up, I type up the whole dream on the computer where I have a LD folder for all my dream journals. I find that a lot of detail comes back to me as I am typing. |

Write it all down. Everything you can remember. If you want to really build on your dream recall I think it's absolutely key to write as much as possible. Most of the time when you think that you can't remember a dream in full detail, you can get a lot more out of your memory than you think initially, by just writing down every tiny detail about it that you do remember. |
