Thread: All memories though dreaming? Do dream characters exist?

I guess I had one of my more interesting lucid dreams today. You see, generally I do not talk to dream characters once I am lucid. Today I was actually talking to one I have had any at least 10-15 lucid dreams in the past.

I started talking to her about having her in lucid dreams then suddenly realized this was one. Well, I left her and also ignored the people I was with in the dream. I was in a middle school cafiteria btw. I went up to a round table with a person sitting at it. I kept asking who they were and if they existed. I also told him several times that I do not have a lot of time soon because I would wake up. He acted very nervous and wanted to leave for some reason. The person did claim he was real and started giving me wierd explainations. I grabbed him by the arms and he then turned into a little girl and I let go. I then left.

I went to another table and found someone I knew from middle school. I could remember his first name but had no idea what his last name was. I asked him and he actually told me. Even after I woke up I knew I would not have remembered if I had tried. I was wondering if it is possible to retrieve all of our memories through our dreams. That may just be one small bit of information, but it is still something.

I noticed how the people in my dreams look just the way they did 10 years ago. It is almost like being in your past. Now I wonder if dream characters do exist as some would believe. Could they all just be liars? In dreams in the past I have been told this they are real. I have been told that doing harm to dream characters is bad. It is sort of funny. Either I have a huge world all inside my head or it is something more than just part of me.
