Hello. I've just gotten into lucid dreaming. Awhile back, I started having sleep paralysis. I had no idea what it was at the time and it was incredibly frightening. It happened from time to time and eventually I figured out that it was normal. After that whenever it happened, although still scared I would just try to shake myself out of it and go back to sleep. I have always had a good dream recall and kept a journal of the interesting ones. I have had many lucid dreams without really knowing what they were and never really lasted that long. It wasn't until I watched a movie called "Waking Life" that I realized just how special they are. I then did a search on the internet and found this awesome website! I have been reading all the great information and forums for that past few weeks and found out that sleep paralysis is like a gateway to lucid dreams. After learning this, the next time it happened, I didn't move or try to wake up. I just waitied for it be over and went right into a lucid dream. I had no idea that people could experience this. This website has made me want to be asleep all the time. Goodnight.
