1. I was at work, and one of my patients was having problems and had come in for some testing. He was first in line which a lot of people behind him. In the meantime, I was running the test on Dr. D. C, an echo tech, had another patient on the table next to Dr. D, and she was showing me how to hook someone up. It was similar to doing an EKG but more complicated with extra leads. I had to attach both an orange lead and a blue lead at each location. The blue leads were shaped like monkeys. Part of the test was to see if the patient developed a certain taste in his mouth.

2. My husband was leaving for work and taking the minivan, which was parked across the street. I had to take the kids somewhere, but I hadn't driven in awhile and had to find where I had parked the other car. [This situation should have tipped me off since we always keep the cars in the garage & I drive daily] I thought I saw the car parked down the street so I sent the kids to check it out. While they did that, I went inside to grab a snack. I looked in my nightstand, but it mainly contained food I don't like: packaged cookies, canned asparagus and tubes of herb paste. I found one tiny packet of airplane peanuts. My bedroom looked right but the house itself was a small bungelow unlike any place I have lived. The neighborhood had small older homes with no garages. Then my coworker, L, and her husband gave me a ride in their van. We talked about sleeping in the back of the van. They had a mattress back there because L's husband works out of town and travels back & forth a lot.

3. My husband, T, Mom & I were in Toronto staying at a nice hotel. We were in the lobby and I saw someone that I had met at an investigator mtg last year in Montreal. He was standing by the pool table talking about how much he likes to travel on business, but he had mixed feelings about his next trip since he always drinks too much. So of course we all hung out at the bar and I introduced him to T & Mom. He said that we should all come back to Toronto in a few months and meet him there, and Mom said she was already planning another Toronto trip anyway.

I was at my wedding reception, and I was disappointed in the turnout. The reception was in a very large, sparsely decorated, dimly lit room, like a ballroom in a convention center. I'm unclear if I was marrying my husband of 16 years again, or if I was marrying someone else. The groom did not have a role in the dream. I went out into the hall crying because so many hadn't shown up, especially the doctors I work with. [objectively the room looked quite full] My former hairdresser and current hairdresser met me out in the hall all excited. My former hairdresser took a simple off-white negligee out of a box and wanted me to try it on in the bathroom so she could take pictures. I'm not sure if there is a special significance to the wedding or if it was just because I looked at pictures from a friend's wedding on Facebook right before I went to bed.

In the next dream I was driving down a bright, sunny road in what looked like L.A. I called into work and got the answering maching, which stated that we were relocating half our staff to the Dominican Republic. I either left a message or spoke to my boss and said that I would love to relocate, although I've never been there before. I also asked what sort of work we'd do in the Dominican Republic.

These were the dreams I recalled at 1:45am when I got up to go to the bathroom and have a snack. I tried to recall my later dreams in the morning but kept drifting back to sleep and losing them. No further recall once I got out of bed.

I had the ability to travel back and forth in time and I was in a medieval time period. I was with a group of stage performers and we were practicing acrobatic tricks with dynamic rope like bungie cords. Some of these performers had traveled to the present with me, and they were all fans of Diet Mountain Dew. Even within the dream I thought that it was hilarious that I would sneak back (forward?) into the present to run to a convenience store and bring back soda. One of the DCs said that it tasted like orange juice with chocolate in it so we argued about that. I also thought about how I preferred the medieval time period even though it lacked modern conveniences like running water. The people were dressed in orange and brown and the mountain dew bottle was bright green, so I know that this dream was in color.

The medieval dream was immediately followed by some sort of end-of-the-world scenario in which I was with my Mom and Dad. There was a suggestion that I could time travel in this dream as well. We somehow knew or suspected a major attack or a natural disaster. There was a lot of cheese in the freezer and I was annoyed that we had bought so much because I wasn't sure that it would stay good. I wanted to buy refried beans in a pop-top container that wouldn't require a can opener. I think this was in case I went back to medieval times. I ran some errands and came back with a martini. This irritated Mom. [in retrospect it was probably because I didn't bring her one as well]

In an unrelated dream which occured earlier in the night, there was some sort of reunion with my sorority sisters. I was trying to get ready to go out, but the other girls kept moving the clothes around. We were all putting our clothes together on these large racks. [in my sorority house we had large closets for our formal gowns - I think this is where this came from] Everyone else was ready and hanging out on the back porch having a good time and I couldn't find my clothes to get dressed! This is a typical anxiety dream for me. I wasn't anxious about being naked or in my underwear; I was anxious about trying to do something or go somewhere and not being able to complete the task.

I had several other dreams that I just remember images from. Something about going to the top of a skyscraper was one of them. No nightmares. If I had written in my journal in the middle of the night I would have captured more.
