      Where is it?

I was watching some AVGN and he was doing an episode of "bible games".. This made me go back and think of all the christian oriented stuff I've ever come into contact with. Veggie tales, that TV channel, Colby the Robot, those games... and who knows what else. My question is: Where are the atheist cartoons? Somewhere, is there such a thing as Fruit Stories?
And now.. for a Stephen Strutmeyer Film...

Atheist cartoons? Try Family Guy and any show with Seth MacFarlane and Seth Green. (both atheists)

They make fun of religion quite a lot actually.

If you are talking about atheist equivalents of Veggie tales or whatever, i hope there isn't one. Those kind of (young) children cartoons which have such a loaded agenda make me sick..........I don't care who's ideology is being advanced...

As far as I'm concerned this means a lack of belief in a god.

Any cartoon in which 'God' plays no part in the plot or characters lives and is never referenced and there is a lack of belief or significance of God should be considered atheist i guess.

So that makes it pretty much most cartoons.

Come to think of it I've never seen any cartoon which explicitly makes it clear God is real.

I guess that would be different if I lived in America huh.

      Very much so.

It would be interesting to see a children's cartoon which promoted science and critical thinking, but I can't think of any shows like that off the top of my head. Bill Nye the Science Guy is the only children oriented science show that I can think of.

A lot of the old Warner Bros cartoons were deliberately anti-establishment and even homoerotic, not singling out religion, but certainly including it in the general indictment of rubes, fuddy-duddies, macho men, et al. Since the '60s at least, nearly all mainstream cartoons have been stringently secular unless they were fantasy that referenced made-up religions. It's not analogous to materials specifically designed to reinforce a Christian worldview, but a lot of it is coming from non-religious writers and animators, and nearly all of it presents worlds in which the Christian (or Muslim or Jewish) God is entirely absent--I'm sure it has some effect on kids who are raised in an otherwise Jesus-y environment.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

90% of the cartoons out there have nothing to do with Christanity so there you go. Pick one of them.

I'm not saying theres a problem with it, I'm merely saying it would be interesting to see an aeithiesm childrens show. It would be very good satire..

A show that tried to push atheism would be just as fucking cringe worthy as one that pushes christianity.

      This.
And woah, I've never associated religion with cartoons before. Also, I don't think it will be good to have the cartoons separated by religion.
