The image you linked to is my favourite images too
and yes, i made everything in the 3d gallery, from the smallest part to the biggest..

that image is the same as the stairway image (the one without the face), i used many days on that one, partly because it is many years since i made it, and wanted the light just the way i wanted it, and when i made it it took about one hour per render.
so i sat there, many hours tweaking the light, render, tweaking,render etc utill i liked it..
I made a animation with it some time ago, it was water that poored out of the mouth of that face, looked really cool, but i dont have it anymore, but maybe i'll make it again.
