Thread: Lost (and possibly others to come)

Wow girl! I didn't know you wrote prose/poetry.

I'm not great at literature, but I'd say the narrator definitely seems/feels lost.

"He took my careless error
And wears it as a badge."

Cut

It hurts me
To hear you don't trust me.
My intentions are noble,
My words are pure,
Your secrets kept safe,
Yet you find something lacking?

You know me.
You know I'm no fool.
It cut my eyes,
It cut my heart,
It cut my hands,
Though as always I shall heal.

Please trust me.
I go about this having thought.
The message will be clear,
The words will be soft,
The meaning will be open,
And this will be from only I.

You cut me,
Yet I will do what I must.
This will be sent,
This will be read,
This will be thought out.
Just trust me, please.

(Normally I don't like to write depressing poetry, but lately whenever I'm in a really good mood I'm not really inspired)

Hurt

I thought you trusted me.
I've talked with you before.
I've played the confidante.
I've listened to you simply rant.

I fear rejection,
I fear denial,
I fear being denied the kindness I can give,
I fear being mistrusted.

I told you you can trust me.
You can tell me anything.
I want to comfort,
I want to help you
I want to push away your pain,
replacing it with a smile.

I don't want to intrude,
I don't want to pry,
But I like to know what's going on,
Espeically if someone hurts.

It hurts when you leave me out.
It's painful to remain outside.

I shall forgive you,
But another scar appears,
My sense of worth chipped at
As if you can't trust me.

In my head my conscious mind
Assures me of your steady presence;
But eyes of blue can not be silenced,
Can not sense your swift attendance.

Take this unbelieving heart
And change it into one that's pure.
Help me see that which you offer,
Which, to me, you have assured.

Lord, Your joy, I so desire!
I do not wish to cry again.
Help me to look past the present,
Help my weary heart to mend.

Hearken unto me, my King,
Unto your daughter, weak and helpless.
For your strength I pray tonight,
And for your Kingdom's swift success.
