That's right. The wait is over. I finally got my Windows Movie Maker working again (it only took me all damn day) and now I can start making music videos again! I've lost most of my previous vids, but I still have one on my pc that I'm trying to compress. It's 157megs for some reason, and it shouldn't be. Anyway, I'll post that one whenever I figure it out. But, to start off, here is the vid that I made over the last few hours. Enjoy, and let me know what you think!! The best thing you can do (I don't know if you've ever used WMM before) is download or rip the whole movie to your pc. Then, when you put it into WMM, it actually cuts it into clips for you.

That first one is amazing how good the crystal method song goes with that vid. I don't really know anything about makin music videos. Did you have to make the video yourself by selecting different clips or something? Or was that video the same somewhere else?

Fight Club and 300 music videos on the way. 300 is at the top of the list for my next vid. I've already got it cut up into clips in movie maker. Just gotta find the perfect song for it. Basically you upload the movie into to the program and it cuts it into hundreds of few-second clips. Then you arrange the clips however you want, in time with a music file. I used to have a whole bunch of good ones but lost them when my computer crashed, so I just now got back into it.

Well, I gotta say I'm a little disconcerted. After making this video, I went to upload it onto youtube and was kinda surprised to see that there are like 20 other people that have made videos with this same movie and song combination. Only then did I actually stop and think about how obvious it should have been. Oh well, I guess that just means it was a really good idea. Glad I thought of it. Anyway: This music video is guaranteed to make everyone feel all warm and fuzzy inside. 300 vs. Drowning Pool - "Bodies"

I agree with Sindred... that scream at the beginning was excellently timed! Too bad you couldn't fit in the scene from the senate when the king's wife killed that guy and watched him fall.... but I really like what you've got there. Great job and well done... again.

I'm going to be honest and say I disliked the queen storyline. It felt like it didn't belong, a sort of token gesture for the people that didn't like slow/fast motion naked men killing people. I think they should have stuck to what the graphic novel said about her, and left it there. That said, I liked the other changes they made. Aw, Legs, after you've agreed with me I feel bad not agreeing.

I'm going to be honest and say I disliked the queen storyline. It felt like it didn't belong, a sort of token gesture for the people that didn't like slow/fast motion naked men killing people. I think they should have stuck to what the graphic novel said about her, and left it there. That said, I liked the other changes they made. Aw, Legs, after you've agreed with me I feel bad not agreeing. Agreed. The queen storyline seemed contrived. It wasn't in the graphic novel, and seemed to just be there to appeal to the women in the audience so boys could take their girlfriends. Not 'appy.

Skindred and Legs: Thanks! Looking back, I wish I would have edited out the part where is mouth started closing, and skipped a few frames to where the single Spartan ran out of the shield dome. That way it would have seemed like the scream continued. I could still do it, I guess, but then I would have to go back and re-upload it to youtube and myspace, and...nah..just don't feel like dealing with the hassle. I'll have to be more careful of little stuff like that in the future, though. And I did kinda like the queen's part, in the movie. It showed her to have the spirit of a Spartan. I didn't realize that there was a graphic novel before the movie came out. I guess that'll teach me. And to be honest, I didn't even notice the mouth closing on the scream. I really like how you put it all together tho. Even without the queen's part (regardless of significance) in there. It probably would have broken up the continuity you had going on.

Aah, now I see. Great work on these, they turned out awesome. What makes them more "fun" than mine is that they're more along the action genre, as it were. The two I posted up are based on songs by Battlelore about LotR and since I value lyrics in a song greatly, I decided to strictly follow the song with corresponding LotR movie scenes, not just ones that would fit well dynamically and seem more fun in general, like scenes of battle between the Free Peoples and Sauron's orcs, which wouldn't fit a song about Saruman's orcs...hahah, obsessive much? But, aye, that Neo...always showing off. He should meet the Witch King, that'd slow him down a bit. Oh, and, in the very first video...is that blonde haired guy wearing a small Witcher medalion on his chest? This, to be precise: It's a conspiracy, I say!

Sorry I didn't see this sooner - I LOVED the FF/Crystal Method one. Really really cool! Where do you get those movie clips from?

Indeed those are good. I preferred the first one more because the song seemed more in keeping with the rest of the clip. 300 needs an even more hardcore song. I'm thinking not really music, but just people screaming and shrieking into a microphone whilst kittens are killed in the background. Maybe that's just me.

Thanks, everyone! Burns and Adam: The clips are straight from the movies. I've got a bunch of movies saved on my PC, and Windows Media Player cuts them up for you (though I've spoken to Burns since her reply, so she knows). And Adam, if you're using Windows, you should have a copy of Windows Movie Maker. Play around with it, some. It's a tight little program. Goldney: LOL! Yeah, that sounds about like the music that 300 needs. That's a little too hardcore for my taste, though. But it would be fitting, I can't deny. Mark: Thanks, man. That's my favorite one, too. I wish the quality wasn't so strange. Even the 300 one looks great but, for some reason, when I saved the FF one, it get pretty pixelated. Dunno what's up with that.
