Before I start, I wanna say I don't have a lot of experience. I started playing guitar September of 2009, and bought a bass guitar last July. I took lessons for a year on the guitar before I bought a bass, and then I sold the guitar and haven't played the guitar or had lessons on any instrument since. I'm self taught since then.

I can play bass pretty well and am going to school next year for classical guitar. I like a wide range of music, from classical to jazz, though I feel most at home playing metal.

Anyways, I'm exploring different career choices and it occurred to me that lots of things need soundtracks. Video games, TV shows, ads, etc. and I thought that would be a great thing to learn so I could look into it as a future career(I'm in a band, but that's never a good bet).

So, in order to reach this, I figure I have to start putting music to things. I'm wondering if there are any animators on DV that would be willing to work with me. I'm definitely an amateur in anything like this, but need experience somewhere, and I figure there might be animators out there that have some stuff they'd throw together anyways and would maybe like to collaborate on it. It'll probably be amateur at first, but if it's something we both enjoy, it could even be a long time partnership.

I'm a rising junior in high school. I play bass in a heavy alternative rock band, and am in a special program at a new high school for classical guitar next year. The stuff I'd end up playing would be very new to me, but stuff I enjoy anyways. I'd like to cite bands like Explosions in the Sky and Godspeed you Black Emperor as what it would end up sounding like, but I honestly don't know until I try. IS anybody willing to try it with me?
