I am completely new to digital painting and I want to get to a professional level. I have been practicing a lot recently and I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread about it =] Maybe you guys could give me some advice on how to improve. I am also dabbling in Matte Painting too.

Right now my work is like infant level so don't expect much

Wow, the snow on the building looks really good! I particularly like how you've added a little snow on the shutters sticking out, good attention to detail! The jungle and forest scenes look good as well but maybe give them more depth?

Depth and perspective is something that I am really struggling with at the moment. I think I need to practice drawing basic 3D shapes in perspective. I didn't think it would be this tough when I started

I love these, they are all great, especially the first two. I love the leaves on the tree on right in the second painting. Do you use a tablet, or just mouse?

Thank you =] I use a tablet for the most part. Although nothing beats a pencil and paper

It's like trying to learn to draw all over again.
