      Post Chained Souls: Epilogue {Book Two of the Chained Duet}

      Epilogue
      One Year Later
I gently placed the flowers on her grave, stepping back to look over the two headstones.
On one was inscribed 'Pandora Avalon November 17, 1992 to November 17, 2010 Forever Loved' while the other held the name 'Talisen Oullette Death.'
"Helios," Evie yelled. "Hurry or you'll miss the wedding!!"
      I smiled to myself.
"Happy birthday, Pandora," I whispered, turning around and walking away.
After Pandora and Death had died they'd had a small service that even Pandora's aunt came to. They mourned their deaths but, with them, the story of Pandora's Box ended.
Once Pandora had died, the evils had died with her. She had truly ended the cycle.
Evie and Celfior had been married a month after her death and now had a daughter named Sysceal. Tribute had married Nemesis two months after her death and now had a son named Cyrus.
Overall, those who had survived had moved on and things had become normal.
I climbed into the car and drove away from the cemetery.
After four thousand years of following her through time, I had no idea what I was going to do. Since I lived forever, I would have to find something to do.
I pulled into the parking lot to a church and Evie pulled Cefior out and rushed into the building. Evie was still full of energy and watching her pull around Celfior was an entertaining sight to see. And Celfior didn't seem to mind.
As I rounded the corner I felt a small form slam into me and fall to the ground, papers flying everywhere.
"I am so sorry!" the female gasped. "I'm in a rush! I wasn't paying any attention!!"
"Calm down," I said, chuckling as I started gathering the papers. "Where are you going?"
"To teach a class on Greek Mythology at the university," she said, taking the papers from me. "Thank you."
I met familair blue eyes and immediately looked the girl over as we stood.
She had her eyes. With her black hair and caramel skin. It was almost unnerving how much she looked like Pandora.
"Out of curiosity," I asked slowly. "What part?"
      "Pandora's Box."
      I smiled to myself.
"Would it be alright if I dropped in?" I asked, smiling. "I know a thing or two about Greek Mythology. Especially Pandora's Box."
Her cheeks colored and she nodded as we walked to the university. Maybe things would be different, this time.
"May I ask what your name is?" I asked with a smile, trying not to scare her off.
"Pandora," she said, blushing. "It's weird, I know. It's just my parents were really into Greek Mythology and it ran over to me."
"I think it's a wonderful name," I shot back. "I'm Helios--and, before you ask, yes, like the God."
      She laughed and I smiled.
      "I'm happy for you Helios."
I stopped in my tracks and looked behind me. Pandora stood, smiling, with Talisen a few feet behind me.
      "Thank you," I whispered.
"Is something wrong, Helios?" the other Pandora asked, looking back at me. "Is something there?"
"There's nothing," I said, smiling. "Let's just say I thought I heard someone from a long time ago."
She nodded and I smiled again.
This time it would work out. This time I could be happy. After all, wasn't Pandora? I would forever love Pandora. She was deeply tied to me. But now I was ready to move on.
Once upon a time, there was a normal girl with a normal life. Then, one day, her life was turned upside down. After overcoming many obstacles, she died. But she died happily.
Every fairytale has it's happy ending, one way or another. And that was hers.

Good epilogue. I have always had an affinity for bittersweet endings, for some reason.

      Only one typo I found:

      Spoiler for Typo:

Overall, this "Chained Duet" has been fairly unique and compelling, as a fantasy-based series. All of the characters, protagonists and antagonists alike, were fairly interesting. There were no real drawbacks, as far as I could see.

...Anyhow, good work. I hope to see more stories from you, if you ever plan on writing any.
