More Wallpaper Art

Hello all! I have been very busy with making wallpapers. Some of them actually take several days But it is addicting Anyway, I wanted to share them and I have been thinking of joining the art team here. So please any criticisms or tips will be helpful. Please keep in mind that all of the art (except the scans and one stock image) was produced in photoshop. Also--if any wants a wallpaper made of their favorite character whether anime or not--let me know and I would be glad to help Enjoy!! Wow all of these are awesome! I paticularly like "Mystic Nebula" . If it is not too much trouble I would like to see what you would come up with if I were to say... "Bubblegum Angel" Only if you want to and if it is not to much trouble.

I was more thinking that you would come up with something on your own. Bubblegum angel is a screen name of mine (shhhh i have been thinking i may change my SN here on DV to that... dont tell anyone hehe). Any way I just wanted to see what you may come up with given the subject. Be creative... or do you just work with already existing art?

That’s really amazing your talent is beyond my vocabulary and description.. Did you design the backgrounds and everything yourself? I thought "Ai yori aoshi" and "Silent Sorrow" were the best. Silent Sorrow reminded me of Spirited Away (was that intended?) the grass looks alive and I especially liked the purple dust cloud in Ai yori aoshi.. Miyazaki would be proud of you You should become an Anime artist or somthing.

Thanks guys for your comments!! Did you design the backgrounds and everything yourself? [/b] Yes. You have to or the wallpaper is not considered your art. The only things that are not mine are the scans of course and the use of one stock image which is the barn in the last one. We can use stock images as long as we alter them. If you look at the barn, you can clearly see it was altered. One can also use other elements in the scan, but the background has to be yours. In fact, at the site that I am affliated with, we have to provide our .psd files (the photoshop files which proves that this is your own work) hence showing all the photoshop techniques and layers. The backgrounds I would first draw on paper or construct in my minds eye and then do a layout layer of it in photoshop. Then I build up on it with tons and tons of layers, creating the world that you see. For example, Twilight Fun had 84 layers!!! My computer was running slow with so much memory being used Any way I just wanted to see what you may come up with given the subject. Be creative... or do you just work with already existing art?[/b] The scans (the main character the wallpaper revolves around) are the only existing art. I have tried putting my own drawings and sketches in, but it doesn't look good in photoshop. The quality is not there and you'll be mixing two different styles--that of the photoshop brushes to that of the drawn art and it looks weird I tried it many times for my friend who draws anime, but I do it for her as a gift. And I am not a professional artist to really make it look awesome So I will hunt down for you something that relates to what I think Bubblegum angel is and come up with the rest--that is if you are still interested. I just need to know what style are you into with the scan. For example: Some like cuteness (kawaii), some like violence and mysterious, some like seductive, some like it normal-looking or average, some like fantasy. Which do you prefer and I will locate it.

those are absolutely brilliant! I'd love to see something like...like a goddess, outside in the moonlight, looking up at the stars...she'd have her arms outstretched, and long flowing hair...and a billowy sort of dress thing...i wish i could draw it. From all the stuff i've seen on here, it makes me think i need to go back to drawing, i actually got rather good at it, when i was in art class... I liked drawing people... and i liked working in black and white.

I think when i go out on tuesday, i'm going to buy a cheap sketchpad and some pencils, see if i can still draw. Maybe i need to get back into it, i don't know. See what happens!!

I like 'em all! WEEE! Anyway, I read the Ai Yori Aoshi series a while back. I liked the first couple of books, but the last few seem to be going downhill--like the author had a bunch of great ideas, but has a set number of episodes they have to produce and had to come up with lots of filler stuff to stick in there before they end the series. I mean, the whole 7th book was just about how they went to visit their friend's family and Aoi was embarassed to be seen in her bathing suit. WOW. Important plot elements there. -_-. But I really did like the first few--they were great. Er--got off on another tangent Back to the point--They all look awesome, as always! I think I'm gunna use a few for my wallpaper on the PC upstairs. My mom's picky about the one down here--she keeps reseting it to the Windows default whenever I change it. Well, keep up the work, it's definitely looking good!

Dew Dust, those are gorgeous. I agree with Mysticaljourny, I too believe Miyazaki San would be proud. And Lola, "bubblegum angel" is catchy. (in case you wanted feedback).
